This was not the transfer I was hoping for this off-season, but when you're the 9th best program in the country you take what you can get.
OTT Predictions: 57kg: I think Lee and Suriano are the best two guys right now, but both are out. So, that leaves us with Gilman vs Gross and Fix vs Arujao. I definitely do not think (and hope it's not) Gross. I've got the winner of Fix vs Arujao beating Gilman. Going with Fix for now but that's a TOUGH semi match imo. 65kg: James Green vs McKenna in the QF, yikes. I'm going with McKenna in the upset. Zain over McKenna, Yianni over JO in the semis, and Yianni over Zain to make the team (and hopefully qualify the weight). 74kg: It will go three matches. All will be close. Going with Dake but don't feel good about it at all. 86kg: DT over Zahid in the finals. Think Zahid has a strong showing though, 97kg: Cox over Snyder. I think Kollin Moore scores more against J'den than Snyder does in any of their matches, but that Snyder's matches will be closer. 125kg: Gwiz dodged the Mason Parris bullet with the puzzling #1 seed, but the torch passing is inevitable. Gable over Gwiz.
Assume finals will be, it’s between nbcsports and peacock. I’m putting my TV on this and streaming final 4 Kinda think RBY deserves a mention, he can wrestle with anyone at 57
Fix hasn't wrestled freestyle since getting suspended right? I'm still bitter about him not being punished over that, and I hope he's not the 57 winner.
Looking at track wrestling mat assignments, I guess all of this is mixed together. Not ideal for my watching
Apparently J'den missed weight, sprinted back to the scales, made weight, but it was too late by mere minutes. Not sure if true or not but insane.
Zeke Jones with his patented throw the brick and take it back move to give his guy a breather... See Valencia, Zahid.
Genuinely no clue how 65 shakes out, Lee and Molinaro could do some spoiling if not win. Simultaneously our deepest weight but also least likely to medal given how insane this weight is internationally, and how little any of these guys have done against non-Americans
Starocci vs Nickal and Brooks vs Jackson coming up on 2 and 3, pretty spicy matches before the quarters
