We can agree to disagree on this point, and I hope you don't have daughters currently, because that might change your perspective.
And I hope you never have a son who has a one night stand in college that turns into a false accusation of rape and people tear him down regardless.
The IU wrestling job has to be one of the hardest gigs in college sports. Thought Angel Escobedo was a great hire and still do. But man you just can't really move up in the B1G
No, I don't know if it's false or not. It could be or maybe it's not. Rushing to judgement and condemning a person before they are able to prove their innocence is lazy and irresponsible. Treat others as you would like to be treated. If someone accused you of assault I'm sure that you wouldn't like people rushing to judgement before you were able to tell your side of the story.
See I’ve made it my whole life without having someone accuse me of raping them. It’s been tough but I’ve made it. The quote that if not for that law (that has since been repealed) and that if it were a state over in Wisconsin charges would’ve been made certainly doesn’t seem like it’s a rush to judgement
This statement is ridiculous. Everyone goes through your life experiences? I've got no problem with them correcting that law and closing the loophole. It's a shame they had to do that and the loophole existed to begin with.
You are coming off as a disgusting piece of shit. One specific accusation was being discussed and either you read the details and felt like this needed defending or you’re just being a jackass that hasn’t read the details
She alleged they raped her with an object, was admitted and evaluated at the hospital, just to be explicitly clear for those that want to fact unseen defend accused rapists
Ironic because the bolded is exactly how I feel about everyone who rushes to condemn and immediately place guilt before all facts are heard. I've never said I don't feel bad for the girl. If he, or whoever did commit sexual assault then throw the book at them. My point, which is a shame that I have to spell it out this plainly, is that there are two sides to every story and both sides should be able to plead their case before a final judgement. That's it.
As it’s been stated the prosecutor specified that because that law was in place they were restricted in their ability to move forward with charges. Thankfully that disgusting law is no longer in place but while we won’t ever know for certain if he is guilty the same can be said about his innocence.
So the difference seems to be I subscribe to innocent until proven guilty and you seem to be coming from a place of innocent until accused and then presumption of guilt? Is that fair to say?
Not necessarily. I would say that I assume innocence until I had some details and think that it’s a case by case basis from there based on details available. Even in this case, Frank brought it up that he shouldn’t be cancelled or anything but that he would withhold having the guy be a hero based on the information available.
hopefully Matt Stencel can get All-American honors again after falling short last year saw a good quote from him in a release about his 5th-straight MAC title. One of many reasons wrestling is so awesome, it instills discipline in people like few if any other sports can "Coach Borrelli took a risk on me," Stencel said. "I did not have very good grades in high school, and he took a risk on me and he got me here to school. He was exactly the role model and the mentor that I needed. He stayed hard on me, made sure I never settled. "I actually ended last semester with a 4.0 (GPA). I'm forever grateful to him for taking that risk on me and getting me here. It was exactly what I needed."
It's probably stupid to bet against Yianni, but I came away so impressed with Austin Gomez at the B1G's that he's gonna be my pick at 149

I'm going with Cox/Snyder/Snyder in the ME. Hildebrandt over Gross. Retherford over Green. JO over Pantaleo. Martin over Hall. Dieringer over IMar.
4 years ago today Tom was stuffing his face in the box behind us for the first half of the finals. Later (not pictured), Bo Nickal forever scarred Gunners
I don't think Hildebrant can make a tournament cut. A real disappointment, but at least Ayala lost too
What’s preferred viewing method for you guys? I’m doing the matcast and then if one is closer/better switch to that mat
