Lewis is a really good wrestler, but he needed more shots. He didn't make a shot after the first period.
my HS coach had an idea I always thought was good. If you’re going to do a ride out, 1st guy gets 30 seconds. If he gets out, the 2nd guy gets that amount of time to beat it. example. First guy gets out in 15 seconds. 2nd guy gets 15 seconds on the clock. He beats it, he wins, doesn’t, he loses
yes. I don’t like ride out in general, but if you’re going to do it, at least make it better than what it is imo
They don’t call top stalling enough in college. You’ll see a lot of parallel riding and sometimes with boots in. The ref will hit the bottom guy for stalling more often like he can do anything in that situation
yup. Just hate rideouts. It’s get to play your feet, then the top guy running you out of bounds...repeat
It’s been a while since I’ve watched HS, but I remember the refs being quick to hit top guys for riding parallel
wondering why you think this? There's no better combination of wrestling + broadcasting credentials on the planet.
I can’t imagine being in college for a 7th year. Sounds miserable. At least the football/bball players are getting full rides to make it worthwhile
Great example of why Cormier sucks, Warner took 0 shots all match, attempted 0 shots all match, and he was whining that Dean should have been rung up for stalling. Total clown.
Don’t find Cormier any worse than John Smith at this who despite being arguably the goat doesn’t seem to know what a takedown is half the time
Don’t know much about him but recall him getting teched 16-0 by MSU kid who I’m not sure won a match at NCAAs
Howard's and RYB's new room guy. Supposedly, he will drop down to 125 to provide depth at PSU. At best, 3rd guy in at 125 or 133.
for perspective, I coach football at a D3 here in PA our wrestling HC made him a priority portal kid, pretty sure he was with our coaches youth program. We were selling The success matt Lackman had for us after transferring in from Clarion.
