all is well when the smug is wiped off of Elizabeth Holmes & Martin Shkreli's faces
She should’ve sold her shares.
Went to the same high school as Liberal darling Laura Moser
And her runoff opponent
And where Ted Cruz’s kids go to preschool
And Wes Anderson
Oh and Justice Winslow
And my sister.
I went to high school across the street.
At least you know which sibling your parents preferred.
Maybe i should've clarified by saying older sister! She was three years ahead of me and i got to witness all of her complaints during her years there regarding the workload, etc. Plus, and more importantly, about 15 friends (literally) defected over to Lamar between finishing 8th grade at St. John's and starting 9th at Lamar (and one more came over after our freshmen year). And then all 16 or so had a pic together in our yearbook senior year...
Yeah, why not? What's another $4.5 billion in fraud claims?
i would've sold it, bought bitcoin, and fled to central africa to start my own religion
It's going to be a joke when she gets a lighter sentence than Shkreli
I just love how she completely ripped off Steve Jobs’ look. Reminds me of Erlich in the first season of Silicon Valley.
I’m honestly surprised she’s still alive, seems like the type of person who wouldn’t be able to handle it all once the house of cards collapsed.
Story was on 60 Minutes last wk. this bitch sucks
read this book in about 5 hours last night. highly recommend
nothing ever worked. Favorite part is Safeway spending like $300 million to renovate their supermarkets to house a bunch of these machines and not a single one making it into a store.
i don't know how she can avoid prison time for this.
Theranos story on 60 Minutes right now.
Looking forward to the Tesla version in 18 months
God damn her voice
Usually I feel bad for defrauded investors but I won't shed a tear for that crew.
Theranos was trying to do good for humanity so i'm pretty sure they can't commit fraud
cc: a bunch of people in the tesla thread
Should have seen this coming
Is this new. I'm p sure it's from last year
Ya I think it was a rerun
at you subtweeting in here.
Tag people if you've got something to say about them.
I know they add to previous pieces. anything new?
Her voice is incredible
I didn't see it when it originally aired but the only info that seemed new to me was they said she'd already settled her case with the SEC whereas the other guy is fighting it
He pretty clearly CC’d them.
Not sure if it was mentioned, but there is a book called Bad Blood that is very in depth about Theranos, Elizabeth Holmes, and everything from the start to the end. Really crazy read. Recommend it.
Yes it was mentioned in the 60 minutes story
i read the book in one day. it's very good.
That sounds like a T-swift song
Bought the book, can’t wait.
The book was fantastic. It's from the guy who broke the wsj story. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a book
Documentary airs tonight on HBO
Book was great and the documentary was really good. Such a fascinating story.
This story was covered on 20/20 this past Friday, and Gardner and the whistleblower (Tyler Schultz) were featured prominently, definitely worth checking out although i'm sure there will be plenty of overlap with the HBO documentary:
Just finished this book. It was excellent.
Watching the doc now, her voice is awful
I keep seeing this bitch in my news feed and ignore it all. Can she just go to prison already. WTF
The Dropout is a good podcast on this.
Watching the HBO doc, read Careyrou’s book, it was fantastic, listened to The Dropout, and it also was very good.
Googling Dropout now.
20/20 did a whole ep on this Friday. it was basically just the video version of The Dropout.
Watching the HBO one now, They must have been working on this since before the lawsuit. Having her interview, ect. Im only 20 min in though.
She didn’t interview for it, I’m pretty sure it’s from the advertising session she did with an extremely high end ad agency that did work for Theranos.
Her dad was an executive at Enron.
