Old dominions meat and candy album is actually really good imo!
I'm going to check this out. Sounds promising!
Report back please!
Found this new awesome dude Kane Brown while listening to Old Dominion.
Going to see Chris Stapleton and Brent cobb in Birmingham tonight. Brent's one of my best friends so it'll be cool watching him open for Stapleton. Be alot cooler if Stapleton hits a dab with us after it's over
Saw Brent open for Jamey Johnson in April in Tempe. He was great. Honestly went to see him and Margo Price more than I did Jamey.
Saw price in gulf shores, she was good but then sturgil came on and I forgot she played. Brent's a cool dude, funny as hell
probably late to the party here but listening to ACLfest spotify playlist to try and find some undercard artists for daytime shows and came across a couple Brothers Osborne songs. They're pretty good. Will watch
I think Brent is going to be one of the next guys to explode onto the scene. Been listening to him for almost a year now and really love his style and stuff
Well did he
Fuck no. Next time I'll bring the dabs, I'll bring the dabs
dont like it. It's just Nashville trying to ride off alt country coat tails
Norm Peterson and I were there
That place was electric that night, he put on a show. Stapleton did as well, it's hard to fathom how talented that man is.
He's getting close, he's excited abt this next album. He was headed to Nashville after the show to finish recording he hoped.
It is what it is. It's some of the better radio shit to come out the past few years. Most of it is borderline unlistenable.
Is he related to David?
Yeah, between our trips to the Bama
Don't remind me of that place
I love it so much
Didn't know Willie is on this album
The new Margo Price is fire.
Seeing Reckless Kelly here 11/11. Pretty excited
The new Turpike album
Listened to the midland album and it is good
Glen Campbells last song is the shit
NSIAP Greg Allman's latest song is incredible, haven't listen to his album yet but I've heard it's incredible
Mainstream or not, I enjoy them
Daryle Singletary passed. RIP
i really liked him back in the 90s.
Damn that sucks. He always sounded a lot like Keith Whitley.
I thought this thread was devoted to making fun of country music
Damn only 46
Always enjoyed this one
Don't get to make fun of the new stuff anymore because I don't hear much of it. Found a station that plays nothing but the 70's 80's and 90's stuff so I haven't turned it.
I did hear a new one the other day that hit me in the feels though. Five more minutes by that Howdy Doody looking mother fucker Scotty McCreary.
Didn't know Troy Gentry died until the new album came out.
MG was my first concert. I know they aren't what this thread is about but man that hit me in the feels.
This is one of the best eras for country music. Only Nashville doesn’t know it. Sturgill, Tyler, Isbell, turnpike troubadours, it doesnt get better than those four.
Prison Book Club re-released their self-titled album. i suggest everyone go listen to it now.
Love the new album. Seeing him this Friday in Denver. Really looking forward to it. Could be a big year for him now that he's touring with Stapleton in the summer and fall. He'll pick up a big audience after that.
Speaking of other under the radar country acts I've just come across recently:
Whiskey Wolves of the West
Dave Cobb is involved with Conley and Carmichael so, like Brent Cobb, I expect big things from them over the next year to two. And Conley is opening for Brent in Denver so I'll get a two-for-one.
dustin lynch may actually be the worst musical artist alive right now, he's straight trash.
I wish I didnt listen to the new Clay Walker album
Joshua Ray Walker’s New album is fantastic.
He’s got a twang in his voice like Dwight, but the music is much different.
On a different note, Steak Night at the Prarie Rose by Mike and the Moonpies was my favorite album from last year.
Steak night has become one of my favorite songs.
I heard Mike Harmeier on a radio interview just the other day saying that song is 100% true about him and his dad growing up, only the last verse about his dad being gone is made up because his dad is still alive and still goes to steak night
That's awesome. I really want to see them live. Them and Jamie Lin Wilson have been doing shows together this month, and it is supposedly incredible. They do their own sets then spend an hour or so doing covers together of great country music.
Guitar in workin on me is sneaky fire though
"Kane Brown" is playing here tonight. Here's a quote he gave to the local paper:
“I only care what my fans think,” he says, “because they’re the ones listening to me. If I start caring what critics think, then that’s when I start changing who I am.”
Thought that was funny
Anybody like Colter Wall? Just started dabbling in his music. I like it
