After Isbell/DBT Bingham was one of the first guys I got into. Still one of my favorites.

Not sure if he necessarily fits this thread, also, he might be a sex pervert, but Ryan Adams is amazing. Jacksonville Skyline is an all time great country song in my opinion.

Saw Ray Wylie Hubbard last night, you guys.

 

Saw him at a gas station in TX one time. He’s pretty rough up close.

 

It was pretty wild. He played the shortest headliner set I’ve ever been to at 65 minutes. But every single song was a fastball. Absolutely no filler, so I can’t complain much.

I assumed, given his age, he’d sound rough, but he sounded really great and funny as hell.
