The rest of the weekend is traaaash but Thursday night is an elite lineup. Just grabbed Thurs tickets
Kind of a best case scenario imo. Thinner crowd and best music on Thursday. Only spend ~1/4 the price then spend the rest of the weekend at baseball games and hanging out in Chicago.
Saw him in Chicago last year right when venues started reopening. It was just him and an acoustic guitar. Fun show.
Anyone happen to be looking for Zach Bryan tickets for tomorrow at ryman. I won’t be able to make it. Lower level in section 4
So, in 1973, Lavender Country released what is thought to be the first gay-themed country music album. It was their only record, until today. This is Blackberry Rose, and it's fucking great.
so wait, it was 50 years between records? On that subject Sarah Shooks songs definitely include references to her being bi
Yep. My understanding is the gay community in Seattle funded the first record, and it never really impacted out of that circle of people so the band broke up and moved on. A label re-released it a few years ago and it became an underground sensation of sorts, and they put together a new record knowing they had a label that would put it out.
Album is excellent. Had to go listen to the original Lavender Country and found this great short doc…
holy shit that was amazing. songs like flash paper and voices will never be the same. the studio versions just cant compare. everyone itt needs to see him live.
so far this spring/summer my concert lineup includes Jason Isbell, Turnpike Troubadours, Shane Smith & the Saints, Charles Godwin, and Zach Bryan. not a bad way to come out of the pandemic concert outage :--}
If I had to name a most talented but way under the radar band or singer to follow, she's probably my #1. Her album from 2020 was incredible from start to finish

I will always listen to Charley Crockett, but I think I’ve been more fascinated by the idea of what he could be than I am of what he actually is. I’ve come out disappointed with basically every release, but by God I go in with high expectations.
Haven't listened yet, but might as well go ahead and say I agree. Paul Cauthen releases nothing but bangers
Morgan Wallen concert in Nashville was great, and exceeded expectations. He will definitely be on the CMA Fest main stage this year.
