They didn't even put a stip on like half the matches. IC match could be ok. WWE title match should be a submission match. Sanity vs New Day on the pre show I might care to see more than almost anything else. That's about it.
Previously, we could at least depend on a steady stream of good PPVs to make up for mediocre TV. Not 2018. The real Rumble was really good, Mania and MITB were ok...the rest have been forgettable to outright bad.
It’s mind boggling how out of touch they are with the audience if that’s actually going on last over 2 matches, both of which involving a title, where 3 of the 4 competitors are some of the most over wrestlers in the company who are expected to have really good matches with each other
I don't what's worse anymore, Roman constantly being pushed despite the tone deafness or fans complaining constantly about Roman.
Vince did this same shit when Punk was champion. He put his matches 3rd or 2nd from last and let Cena close out PPVs. He's about his "star" and not the audience. Roman is gonna close out every PPV for the next 10 years. Unless crowds literally walk out and empty arenas its not changing
#1 its BS they didn't give us the match finishes #2 its outrageous what some of those Japanese girls were doing in the 90's.
I'm only on 12 now. Like half of them are Misawa matches. Sucks we got robbed of so many great years of AJ and Joe
Bankz you were right. All of the top 10 were Japanese. I'm not going to argue that Omega/Okada and Omega/Naito don't belong at or near the top of the list but how do you not have Ciampa vs Gargano? How do you have 0 ECW or Lucha Underground matches? Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens didn't make the list of all. Bryan Danielson had 5 matches from ROH on there but 0 from WWE including his match from Wrestlemania 30.
Its cool to hate on WWE product... There are 3 DIY tag matches that could make the list... Not to mention Pete Dunn not being on that list. Naka/Zayn from NXT... Its all good let those NERDS overrate NJPW.
I do miss Neville though. He could have some great matches with the guys they have on the roster now. Rollins, Owens, naka, Brian, zayn, etc.
Is it just me or is Tanahashi supremely overrated? Ibushi is so much more entertaining than he is Also how did none of the matches from the cruiserweight classic make that list?
Tanahashi is older with a busted back now. You have to go back several years to see the ace in his prime. He was HBK good in his twenties. That said, the match he had against Okada earlier this year at Dontaku was incredible. You should watch if you haven't seen it yet.
That makes sense. Take for granted how good some of these guys are in their late 30's and early 40's now. Really haven't seen Tanahashi outside of the last 3-4 years.
Think we'll see NXT call ups after Summer Slam? The entire Undisputed Era could come up right now but I don't think they will.
For sure. Almost all of his great matches were before they started doing English commentary which sucks as well. I did think his match against Jay White at Wrestle Kingdom this year was shit. Not sure if that was more on Tanahashi or White.
And do what with them... Sanity, AoP, Almas are barley being used on TV I’m guessing NXT is gonna get a two hour show on FS1 as part of the new TV deal and we will see NXT as a third brand.
You think that WWE will let NXT go to TV? I would think they would want to keep that exclusive to the network. NXT has to be a big driver of subscriptions
Not doing anything with AOP has been bizarre. They put the rockets on their backs in NXT and called them up really quick then did nothing with them.
Lots of rumors that NXT will be moved to FS1. Also been talk that WWE is going after lots of indy promotions to bring in to the WWE Network like Evolve. The UK division of WWE is also in talks to get a weekly show as well.
There is talks of having a all women show on the network coming off of what seems to be a all women’s network special PPV.
Everyone except for that Bruce Willis lookalike next to Bastion Booger, kind of looks like Hawk but he was gone by then, assuming this is from '93
think you may be right, thought that guy in the pic was rocking a shaved head at first, I'm about 99% sure it's from '93
Night one of G1 was pretty good. Jay White is really turning into a quality shithead. Okada screaming Scooby Dooby Doo while doing the cross body will always crack me up.
