Alister Black, Bayzler, and I'd be pretty shocked if we didn't see the entire Undisputed Era, Dream, Gargano, and Ciampa in the WWE is some capacity.
other than Lars and Cross, I think the call-ups they've announced are basically sink-or-swim situations.
I'm on the flip side of this I don't think you will see the top talent get call ups. Couple of reasons for that being that both Smackdown and RAW are pretty stacked with talent. NXT is or could be moving to FS1 its been rumored but not confirmed yet. Finally with AEW coming live the will have money and be after top independent stars that WWE in recent years have scooped up with ease. I can see people like Tino Sabbatelli, The Forgotten Sons, Fabian Aichner, Brit-Am Alliance, Street Profits get a call. But guys like Black, UE, Gargano and Ciampa are crittical for NXT if they plan on touring and being on FS1.
Thats the wild card, if they put NXT on TV. You could add guys like Bate and Dunn who should be called up otherwise. Will be interesting to see the effect AEW has on NJPW more than what it does to WWE. NJPW has heavily relied on non-Japanese talent the last several years. If AEW takes basically all of the present and former Bullet Club members, NJPW loses a lot of its American appeal. I wonder if AEW will partner with NJPW like ROH has. And if so, what does that do to ROH?
I fully intend to cancel my njpw sub after today until further notice, barely watched as it is honestly
WWE is using Mean Gene’s death to bring back Hulk Hogan to Raw. Vince truly is out of touch, but everyone already knows that.
I don't know how there isn't a broken neck every njpw match, it's awesome and terrifying at the same time
Spoiler: wk13 Evil having to keep messing with his hood so he can see during his entrance kind of takes away from the gimmick
Juice looks like my Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 create a character from back in the day, what a great game
Spoiler: WK Thoughts AEW boys all did the Job. I’m guessing Kenny is also leaving Thought the Jericho match was really physical and entertaining. Felt like the crowd was all about those two unlike other matches. Will and Ibushi was good. Not as good as the match in December. Didn’t understand the stretcher job. Guessing Ibushi will stick around some. Solid card overall. [/spoilers]
WWE doesn't need another UUDD so I figured not them. And like Shig said, the Khans are throwing some serious money around allegedly.
Naito said something funny but I don't know what it was because the subtitles were in Japanese for some reason, and Jericho's English come back had English subtitles, njpw you are confusing
I’ll believe that Kenny goes to AEW and they get a working agreement with NJPW until proven otherwise
Spoiler: Wk13 Fuckin hell Jericho's so great. You have to respect the overall work rate in NJPW, but outside of something like Ibushi/Ospreay, it all just kind of blends together into the same match over and over, and watching Jericho sports entertain me so far in this match is really driving that home.
Spoiler: Wk13 Crowd was flipping their shit for those late close falls, much better than their first match
Spoiler: Wk13 Kenny's in full heel mode, obvious where this is going, but it doesn't make me love it any less
Spoiler: wk13 This tiny table just chilling outside of the ring cracks me up, it reminds me of that little Yakuza guy biding his time during the fight with the Springfield Mafia, you just know it's about to do something
Watching the Ron Funches special Giggle Fit that was just on Comedy Central. Had Ric Flair in a skit to open and then came out in a Flair robe to his music and had signs in the audience. I'm sure there will be more wrestling content to come.
I’m with this. For the last few months HHH has stopped referring to NXT as a developmental territory and started referring to it as a third brand alongside Raw and Smackdown. Would fit if they are supposed to start touring and getting their own slot on TV like is rumored. Spoiler but Vince probably still gonna Vince
