I feel like you meant DL there...
I meant DE
I'd honestly say she's pushing 300 lbs.
They should have a mercy rule for this type of destruction
She could weigh 240 lbs. She is still obese and i agree on why dislike her. Nepotism
Idgaf thats shes fat, but she is lets be honest
Not that Wikipedia is any great source but it says she is 255
I dont think anyone is saying she isn’t big, I was just saying her ring gear, her move set, and how she is talked about/announced, it makes her seem much bigger than she is. Seen in normal clothes out in the real world she is probably not as big as you would think from seeing her on TV
Is she fighting guys bc she was hurting the women?
this thread is filled with a ton of stupid fucking convo's but this Nia's weight talk might top them all.
This isn't surprising. I don't think either could ever make it on main roster given the limitations. They would probably kill it in NXT. Good choice for them.
There were reports she hurt R Truth at the rumble as well. Maybe Vince just wants to go full attitude era and bring back intergender wrestling though.
I mean, they could but they likely wouldn’t
Dude was so Fucking yoked.
You don't think they would do great in NXT?
I do, I think they could do great on the main roster
They lack mic work.. its what kills most foreign talents. Its why they don't trust Finn and have struggled to get Asuka, Naka and others over. They require 10-15 minutes of promo's to hold the top spots. NXT they get away with it because they rarely do more than a 5 min promo on the shows. Its quick soundbites and out.
That Half Time Heat match was hot fire...
Asuka and Naka i get. Japanese to English is brutal. But Finn is bs. He holds his own whenever he has the stick. Vince just doesn't like him bc he weighs 185lbs.
The biggest issue is he's on RAW. Move him to smackdown where the guys are sub 6'0 and he fits right in. He's a super small dude among guys 6'1 and above.
Some in here have questioned the caliber of TV stations that were making offers.
I've seen TNT/TBS floated from the start. Wouldn't surprise me if ABC/ESPN was involved as well.
ESPN is an interesting thought. They are dying for subscribers with cable cutting, admitted they over did it with opinion driven bullshit, and have started covering wrestling a lot more the past year or two. TNT is what I've been expecting, but hadn't really thought about espn.
What if they went somewhere random as fuck like VH1? WGN did have their all in preshow, but I don't know that's larger viewing than Spike was.
WGN was because ROH supplied most of the production/talent for ALL-IN. ROH is owned by Sinclair and WGN is part of the Sinclar branch.
TBS seemed to be the leader to snag AEW rights. It made sense because you can put the PPVs on its B/R streaming site and put weekly TV on its cable station TBS.
ESPN could do the same shit. Put AEW on ESPN or ESPN2 and put the PPVs on ESPN+
These streaming services are dying for content its why AEW makes sense. ESPN just landed like 500k subs over a tier 2 ESPN+ fight.
IF AEW can bring in 1m weekly views and say another 200K in monty subs to B/R or ESPN+ its a huge win for those companies.
Ronda Rousey and Brock lesnar can’t put 2 fucking words together. Roman reigns sucks ass on the mic. Rey mysterio is legendary and can’t cut a great promo. Wwe can make a star of whoever they want
It’s like WWE wants to force talent to fit their style instead of letting them play to their strengths
This is a crime on par with Jeff Fisher trying to turn Vince Young into a pocket passer
He almost ruined Goff too
Did he finish the job before the Super Bowl or something?
Rousey was a known mega star before WWE and she's shit on by the WWE for her lack of cutting a promo. She isn't over because of WWE. She's over because of UFC/Movies.
Brock has Paul... c'mon. Also see UFC
Roman doesn't suck on the mic anymore. His material sucks
Rey was a star due to WCW not WWE.
I agree WWE will make a star of who they want and part of that is cutting clean promos and doing a ton of PR. If you don't belive that's a factor we can agree to disagree but you figure out why Asuka, Naka, Rusev, Cesaro have ceilings
This isn't a family own company now. Its publicly traded and they have made the decision to protect it by scripting every last detail. Since the AEW stuff has broke you see some slight changes but gone are the Attitude Era days where guys where edgy cutting fire promos in the voice of the character they played not written for them
I'm really hoping AEW lands on TBS at 6:05 on Saturday evenings. Caters perfectly to their fanbase.
And about the foreigners/promos conversation, Becky Lynch was known as one of the best promos in NXT "promo class". Vince didn't let her loose because of her accent. Finally let her have her share of mic time, and look what happened.
They have ceilings because WWE keeps making them lose. Naka was white hot when he debuted. They did nothing with him. Undertaker didn't talk at all for years at the start of his career and he was over. There's ways around being able to cut a great promo. Maybe Penta couldn't become the face of WWE but surely he could be a borderline main event talent.
Naka needed a manager.
I had a dream about Becky last night, don't remember what it was, but she was definitely there. Pretty sure it's because I fell asleep to OSW's Marine 6 review.
Hope you washed your sheets afterward.
The shoehorn Charlotte story about to come into play ...
let's all hope so
great segment btw
And they’re sending Ronda on right after that segment? They must want her to buried in boos again
Nice work by Ronda, way better than last week
EDIT: now she’s back to smiling again ... sigh
DOUBLE EDIT: with a squash matches too
got damn Ronda
Eh, that in ring one was bad.
yeah that took me from midnight to six pretty quickly, not a bad idea to call the fans out though
still, first 20 minutes of raw had me feeling things
WWE trying to build Ronda back up with promos from other stars
Nikki Cross and Alexa Fox. What a perfectly normal and reasonable pairing.
