As far as I can tell there hasn't been official word or even reputable rumor (read: from big Dave) that the draft will be yearly. Just speculation because they sort of did it in the past.
If past drafts are an indicator, major players will remain on their brands. Undertaker was a fixture on Smackdown between 2002 until his full time retirement. Same with Cena once he moved to Raw. Batista was a Smackdown exclusive from 2005-2009. HBK never left Raw. Triple H didn't wanna work Tuesdays except for a little stretch once or twice. And so on
http://www.cagesideseats.com/wwe/2017/2/14/14618014/emmalina-debut-emma-character-wwe After 17 weeks of vignettes, Emmalina “premiered” on Monday Night Raw this week in Las Vegas. She spent all of a minute or two on screen, and all she said was that she was going back to being Emma. So what happened? A new report from Pro Wrestling Sheet indicates WWE nixed the idea after a series of rehearsals failed to live up to the expectations they had for the character, which was supposed to be something like Sable. The issue, according to the report, is Emma wasn’t committing enough, or at least WWE officials felt that way, so they decided to drop the whole thing. At least with her. One wonders what this could mean for Emma’s future, at least with regards to her television character once it reverts back to Evil Emma, assuming that’s what they’re going to do. Stay tuned.
There are so many funny things about Emmalina. It was a joke at first. Then they made her actually try the gimmick backstage. She (I'm going to assume intentionally) flubbed the thing and they finally decided that it was a bad idea. And as a backdrop to all of it they're fully in support of this women's revolution but tried to create an attitude era model slut bag character with one of their better talents. Thanks for the bikini pics, tho.
Vince wanted Emma to be Eva... just go out and show off them big tits and be a bra and panty Diva. So when she didn't want to slut it up because she's actually a great worker in ring I bet he nixed it.
So, don't think we've discussed this at all, but The Rock is making a movie out of Paige's life. Not sure I understand this. First of all, she's 24. Is this like the Blind Side of wrestling? Second, this isn't like a WWE film, this is like a real movie. Third, are we going to get the Del Rio crazy Paige story in this? Actor Vince Vaughn has joined Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's new comedy-drama, Fighting With My Family, according to a report from Hollywood news site Deadline. The movie is based on the life story of WWE's Paige, who comes from a family of professional wrestlers. The film is written and directed by The Office's Stephen Merchant. According to Deadline, MGM recently paid $17.5 million for the global rights to it. Florence Pugh (The Falling) plays Paige, with Jack Lowden (Dunkirk) portraying her brother Zak. Johnson, Vaughn, and Game of Thrones star Lena Headey also have lead roles. "The film follows the story of reformed gangster and former wrestler Ricky, his wife Julia, daughter Saraya and son Zak, who make a living performing in tiny venues across the country," Deadline reports. "Ricky and Julia want a better life for their children, and when brother and sister get the chance to audition for the WWE, it seems the family dream is coming true and all their troubles will be solved. However, Saraya and Zak are about to learn that becoming a WWE superstar demands more than they ever imagined possible as athletes and siblings." Writing on Instagram, The Rock said Vaughn "loved the script and sank his teeth" into his role. "Vince has been a buddy of mine for years and I'm fired up to see what he brings to this role," he said. "I grew up in and love this wild, crazy and unpredictable world of pro wrestling. Our little passion project is coming together nicely." Production begins today, February 15, and more casting news will be revealed in the time ahead. The Rock, who is Hollywood's highest-paid actor, is a busy man. In addition to Fighting With My Family, some of the movies he'll appear in this year include Jumanji, The Fate of the Furious, and Baywatch.
Daniel Bryan has started to lift weights... He's posted video's recently. Only adding fuel to my AJ vs Daniel WM match Its happening Shiggityshwo
Now I have a visual of Cena hopping in a helicopter right after his match, throwing on some shades and placing out
A Sable/Kat loving gimmick as in wanting bra and panties matches back would fit a Mandy Rose much better. I'd put Emma in a Jawbreaker/Heathers/Mean Girls type stable with Peyton and Billie whenever they are ready. Eventually they find some mousy looking newbie in the back, give her a makeover. The mousy one ends up being the biggest bitch of them all, kicks Emma out of the group and being the good subservients that they are, Peyton and Billie accept their new leader.
Peyton and Billie are pretty far from ready. outside of Asuka the women's division in NXT is in bad shape. Ember Moon has a ton of potential, but she needs to develop a character other than someone with red contacts and a cool finisher.
You pretty much just described the BFFs in NXT. It was Charlotte, Sasha, and Summer Rae. That being said, it was a great stable with some fun storylines that would be a fun rehash. I like your idea.
WWE officials have also been considering making the match at WrestleMania a Wyatt Family Triple Threat for WWE Title. Speaking of WrestleMania, AJ Styles being included in next week’s #1 Contender Battle Royal will be part of the build for his match against Shane McMahon at WrestleMania.
Only people that interest me in the nxt women's division are asuka, cross and to a lesser extent moon. Honestly cross and her character are coming along better than anybody in nxt's women division right now. Wouldn't be mad at her taking the strap.
They have built Asuka so strong (has she lost yet? I don't think so) that the others have looked pretty weak. Granted they had to really rebuild the entire division with the mass departures to fill two brands. As far as characters connecting I think you are spot on with Cross getting herself over. The Aussie duo are just doing what we have recently seen with Char/Sasha, Emma/Danna and they aren't doing it as well. Ember Moon hasn't figured out her character. I think its a female Balor Demon type but it just comes off as cool contacts and a great finisher as mentioned before itt.
Asuka gotta leave for the show sooner rather than later right? They can't expect her to carry this division forever like she has for months since bayley.
I think she's going to be in NXT for another year. I don't think anyone is ready to carry the division if she does get promoted. I also don't think her english is strong enough to get a promo to RAW. And I think RAW is the destination for her once promoted. I remember reading a article basically saying she had such a huge learning curve when coming over to the states. That Naka knew english and was in the US before. That Asuka had no english skills and just going to the store for groceries were a challenge.
lol like he had any other option? He's leaving the company for a few months after Mania and Smackdown needs to build headliners.
I have seen it in the past and my initial response to your post was that I have no idea what he means. I may have just answered my own question.
