I get his point but not sure hes the guy who should be delivering it. I mean he is 7 years older than Brock, has been wrestling for 10 more years, does the part time thing too because of his band and is always booked near or at the top of most cards he has been on since leaving WWE (and I believe has a NJPW title match again next month)

Jericho has spent the vasty majority of his part time comebacks with the WWE putting over younger talent. I'm trying to think of feud in the last 6-8 years where Jericho came out stronger. Off the top of my head I can remember him putting over Fandango at Mania. Owens, Punk, Ziggler, Bray, Swagger. If anybody has the right to point this out, it's him. Guy has really used his star power and drawing power to try to put over the younger guys while he's in the twilight of his career. And the guys lost consistently, and still kept himself as one of the biggest stars in the sport.
Remember all the reports leading up to last night saying creative planned on making a star out of the briefcase winners? That was bullshit. Should’ve capitalized on Bray being the hottest thing going. So many things you could’ve done with his schizo personalities holding MITB. Crowd would’ve also lost their shit if Bray came out in the mask last night as the 8th guy.
This is exactly what I was thinking watching this match. He took 3 of the 4 worst spots in that match. Seems like that always happens to one guy. Think it was Zigler last year, maybe Owens the year before. I can't remember.
