I'll probably do the same because it's what I always do. The nice thing about WWE PPVs is they do a good job of covering the feud in video packages and making it look better than it has been.
For as rough as the weekly shows have been, and dont get me wrong I've stopped watching RAW and SD and just read recaps, overall the PPV still have been pretty solid with the complaints being mostly about the wrong people going over at times. And not watching Raw and SD may even make the PPV better because you dont know how shitty the build has been and you haven't seen the same matches 3 times already
The problem with tonight is it's all rematches from Saudi and the previous ppv and I dont anyone legitimately thinks Corbin, Dolph, or Lacey would win the titles. So it's pretty pointless. Doubt they waste a Lesnar cash in on a ppv like this. It's essentially going to be an extended episode of RAW tonight with no commercials.
I'd think Bray shows up tonight, not sure when or where. Maybe he guest ref the main event. He has been doing segments for a while now, have to think he shows up in ring soon
My favorite part of WWE is the hope the fans share like things are going to turn around / get good / be awesome. Anyone thinking Bray is going to transition from the awesome vignettes to anything meaningful in the ring always makes me laugh. Bray has always been over, and they continue to use him incorrectly. I really don't see it changing this time either.
That's what I mean when people say the best thing about WWE lately is Bray and R Truth, they're 100% correct but it's not going to lead to anything meaningful long term. The current main champs are all boring as shit babyfaces. Yeah Seth has a little edge to him now but there's no long term pay off. It's just boring. Especially Becky.
I'm super happy Kofi won it, and WWE finally did some good booking between survivor series and Mania to get Becky and Kofi over. But I'd have also been okay with Kofi losing it the next night. It was all about the build, and that's why it's hard to stay invested in WWE. Hell they couldn't keep DBry/Miz going for more than a couple months after an amazing and organic build.
Yeah, the money is in the chase and that satisfying pop you get. But your faces dont need to retain forever. I'm definitely in favor of heels have the belt 60% of the time for those good I underdog face moments. Doesnt help that Kofi has been booked like an unstoppable monster since mania. His TiP is like the goat finisher now lol
Big E needs to turn heel on Kofi and win the title from him and Fiend Bray come out during a Brock cash in attempt and absolutely lay out Brock and Seth and ruin it. Would freshen up the top and have both guys take titles off the faces to build a chase towards SS. Big E is too entertaining and New Day is a money maker so I don't think they so it, but Big E I think deserves a top end run
So it’s now confirmed by PWI and Alvarez that Vince has made it a rule that all matches must be one segment long. No more wrestling during commercials. PWI also says people have floated using the old CWA rounds model.
Kofi and Seth have been great as champs. Boring is the last word I would use to describe the run. I get shitting on the product but those guys are some of the few bright spots. Can’t knock them for the terrible opponents.
Late catching up but couple of thoughts. Daniel Bryan is the fucking man. That promo was amazing. 205 triple threat was fire. Sucks those guys are such unknowns. 205 keeps putting on 4+ star matches but they have no stars in the division. Becky got a good reaction. It’s a shame those 4 months of Lacy walking out wasn’t her actually wrestling. So you can establish her move set and know he finisher(s). Crowds don’t react because they have no clue what should beat an opponent. She’s also super green and it shows. KO and Zayn... just magic. Keep them together and let them get those tag belts. It’s clear they don’t have singles programs for them at this point. I don’t think Brock is the ref. I also don’t believe it’s gonna be Bray either. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s Heyman and then we get a non cash in. Either way I’m hooked

The build to this match and the storyline has actually been very good. I’m not sure if Bayley is being turned into a heel and a double switch is going down. Or Alexa is just using Nikki to win the title. It’s been well done
Yeah it left out the backstage segment where they question if Bayley really denied an autograph for a fan and Bayley costing Nikki and Alexa the tag titles.
WTF was that end spot? Nikki Cross interfered but didnt, it cost Alexa but it didnt because Alexa just shoved down Bayley and was in the exact same position as before. Really odd
