They've been having problems for a while. Same as all sports, families are being out-priced, the in-person product isn't worth it, HD is awesome.
That concussion or broken neck will be worth it just to hear the roar of those 7 people in their snowy back yard I'm sure
Yeah it's not new. They've been having empty hard cam sides for months on end at this point. Was happening occasionally last year. Seems to have gotten worse this year over the summer. Raw and SD, it's not one show.
The best way for WWE to compete with MNF is to not compete with them at all. Give the wrestlers a much needed off-season and charge more when in session. Oh and stop thinking you know the fans better than the actual fans. Fuck Jinder Mahal.
Also forgot. Racist promos are carny as fuck and will hurt your numbers, even if the guy cutting it is brown. That shit was awful.
I used to think having seasons would kill wrestling but then Lucha underground did it and I think having seasons has made it better. However, LU is a lot more episodic then WWE which probably helps
Haven't seen this week yet, but yeah. They've re-found their footing after losing 60 percent of their roster. All title belts are compelling and lack an obvious outcome.
Fair point. I think the biggest issue with WWE right now is the product is over-saturated. You've got Raw and SD doing a lot of shows with entire sections tarped and the product is shit because they trying to fill around 260 hours of TV time and somewhere around 20 PPVs a year. I think things would carry more of a premium if they weren't hitting towns so often. Less injuries and burn out to wreck storylines and less need to work super safe. Raw could go off-season in the fall and Smackdown in the summer. They still have a year long product, guys get a break and keep the full line up in place for RR/WM. I look at it like baseball. Hard to keep up with the shit all year long.
Is everyone ready for WWE Game of Thrones or The Office? Looks like we are getting a tiered WWE Network soon
From the way I understand it, the idea is that the extra $5 would get you another promotions PPVs/libraries. 9.99 would be what it is now.
9.99 to 14.99 9.99 gives you what you currently have 14.99 gives you ROH, TNA. NJPW, PROGRESS, WWE Events like KOTR, NXT vs WWE, and possibly the return of ECW. They gave out a questionnaire and you can see the possible direction they may head
Are those ROH and NJPW PPV's going forward or only old ones because if for $5 more I could get ROH and NJPW PPV's I'd definitely do it.
I know it's a Universal/Hulu thing, but I've always thought it was really dumb they didn't stream Raw/SD live, especially considering countries with limited WWE programming. Or at least get the full version up the same week.
Will be interesting to see how much of a gap there will be come tv deal renewal time. WWE is going to take a beating on the next deal. In other news, GFW is no longer GFW because JJ owns the name so they burnt resources on a taped even from years ago, to broadcast it as a PPV, on something they don't even own. They also dubbed announcing on that taped house show to announce that Bobby Roode left WWE to come back lol They are also moving everything to some storage closet in Toronto and Jim Cornette had to quit already because Canada doesn't want him What a stupid fucking company.
Long after the waters have consumed most of the world and society has descended into chaos, TNA/Impact/GFW/Post-Apocalypse Championship Wrestling will have Jeff Jarrett defending the a belt in front of a packed house of 75 comps
More delusion from the WWE, they are never going to be a general entertainment company despite Vince McMahon being desperate to be seen as such. Even if the WWE had produced Glow or some sort of "wrestling" Game of Thrones, they simply won't catch the general audience. It took the Rock nearly a decade to get the stink of wrestling off himself to become a genuine Hollywood megastar who could do stuff like go back to the WWE and get away with it
All football is for retard man babies I’m turning to the real joys in life: video games, porn and wrestling
Saw Flair said he stopped drinking cold turkey since his health scare. Said he was drinking 4,000 calories of booze a day.
