I have had my 360 since the 1st day it came out in stores. Never once did I have an issue with it. But just now it went down. I got the 3 red rings. What are my options? Will Microsoft fix it? Or do I have to get a new 360? Please help me I am lost with out my xbox :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:
Call Microsoft, they will tell you to put it in a cardboard box and tell you some shit to write on it then u send it end, they will either fix it or give you a new one for free. I got mine back within a week.
I don't think it matters how long you have had it but if they ask just say you got it like a couple months ago or something, they're closed right now. They're open from lik 8-5 or something like tht.
Dude my 360 was acting up all week. I thought it was maybe a glitch with FIFA because I didnt have issue when I was playing NCAA but it just froze. I restarted and got 3 red rings Just go ahead and play our game. I wont able to get to a xbox till maybe tomorrow. I dont want to hold up you OD and more then I have just play the game bro. Fuck this sucks
you can probably call them now. i got red rings a couple years ago and i just sold it back (they will buy it for cheap 40-60 bucks) sold some games back. Kept my hard drive and bought a xbox arcade, which is the same thing but doesn't have a HDMI cable and comes with no hard drive, hence why you keep your own hard drive. if you got some money then thats the quickest way to deal with it. depending on how much you get for all that stuff it might not even be that pricey.
this might work...unplug your xbox and wrap it in a towel, when you wake up tomorrow plug it in and see if it works.
Or maybe you keep it on when you wrap it in a towel i dont remember...just go to google or something and put in red ring of death towel trick and it will show you what to do. i did it once and it worked.
to be honest man i didn't even wanna play, i dont stay up this late anyways with work and all so i can hold off until tom night. Problem is i might do some drinkin tom night so in that case we can hold off until saturday around noonish before i leave for the evening. if we cant do it then, i guess ill put you on auto.
So i could sell them my system and just buy a new system. Just when I send my old system take the hard drive out?
we will advance at the absoulte latest saturday afternoon, sorry man. yeah, just buy the xbox arcade, if your not strapped for cash then you will be fine. go to any gamestop or eb games and they will buy your old one without the hard drive, even if it has the red rings. they may only give you 40 or 60 bucks but you can put that to your new one.
Just talked to Microsoft. Its 100.00 to fix my X-Box because its out of warranty. So fuck that I might as well buy a new X-Box.
my xbox broke three weeks ago. also cost $100 to fix through microsoft. sold my broken xbox without the hd on ebay for $91. bought an xbox arcade for $170 from dell.com.
