Hello fellow xbox brethren. New to the family. Ive started my journey with red dead 2 and pga 2k3. Both are pretty fun.
I bought PGA 2k23 and I've been disappointed. Seems super clunky compared to 2k21...hopefully, they have made some updates to clean it up.
Valheim is on game pass now. I love survival games so I just downloaded it, it’s been on PC about a year and is supposed to be fantastic. Looking forward to hopping in tomorrow.
I read that the xbox version needs a patch to fix how floaty and imprecise the aiming is. Apparently it's a lot easier to aim on PS5 than Xbox.
Back in the game after a year long hiatus. What gamepass games should I check out that have been released since last summer? Downloading atomic heart right now. I'm probably too old for anything like souls that's gonna be rage inducing
It’s definitely a bit more fun with friends but I’ve also played a ton solo too. Idk what it’s like joining a random server, probably mixed bag. You might wanna watch or read 10 minutes on like what to do if you feel a bit lost early
I’ve just been playing solo, and I watched a like ten minute “things I wish I knew when I started” type video
Tried atomic hearts and gave up after realizing the main character wasn't any less annoying when the audio was switched to Russian. Also wasn't sure how to feel about my character getting sexually assaulted by a refrigerator. Started playing Chained Echoes instead, and that's seriously one of the best indie JRPG's I've ever played. It's in the same stratosphere as games like Hades and Dead Cells are for their respective genres.
Atomic Heart (I really enjoyed it...loved Bioshock so I felt at home) Vampire Survivor (just found this game and its so simple and addicting) Forza Horizon 5 (amazing game) Stardew Valley (animal crossing but good) Wasteland 3 (turn-based fighting/action game) Slay the Spire (one of my favorites of all time) Hi-Fi Rush (creative new hack and slash based on music/beat/tempo...not my cup of tea but people love it) Assassin's Creed games (simple but fun open world RPGs) Deathloop (almost exactly the same style as Dishonored franchise. Haven't beaten it but super creative and fun game)
Second for Forza Horizon 5. Pretty fun wide open world to drive around. Nice that it’s on cloud gaming as well, so you can save hard drive space.
Dead cells is fun. But I have no idea if I'm progressing or what I should be doing beyond killing stuff. Does that come organically, or should I read up on something? Only a couple of hours in
Pretty interesting to read all these leaks about MS exces not being happy with Xbox right now and particularly blaming it on Hi-Fi Rush not being successful commercially. Which is odd because it just doesn’t seem like an interesting game at all and had zero marketing associated with it at all.
Never makes any sense to shadow drop a game like that. It creates a one-day buzz and then it's dead. The game was a ton of fun and needed to be hyped for a month or two before release.
Game has great reviews, apparently, but I had to google in to figure ou what it was. That's all on marketing.
Same. Want to check out the latest QoL update. Hope since team 17 has full control that updates will be more frequent.
I still stand by that Chivalry 2 has provided some of the most fun gaming moments I've ever experienced. Also, I just don't laugh as hard as I do when playing that game. Great vibes when you're in a squad.
This acquisition feels like a seesaw with either great news or "acquisition-ending" news every other week. Sounds like the important people are appealing the ruling so who knows.
lol at the rationale being the possible impact on cloud gaming you know, that thing that makes up less than .5% of video game sales annually and is so famously successful that even Google couldnt even make a go of it and had to refund all of its customers
Internet infrastructure in the US has to improve dramatically before cloud gaming fully takes off, or cloud products will have to improve the streaming process. I don't recall there ever being much negative press about the actual capabilities of stadia, though. Google just has a tendency to not finish through on a lot of the things they start. I usually use the xbox cloud service on the steamdeck when I'm away from home, but only games where I don't have to worry about latency. It works surprisingly well, and syncing save data from pc to cloud is smooth.
Not looking good for Redfall Probably a skip on game pass for me Starfield is going to have a lot of pressure to be good and I’m a bit worried about it
they need to go ahead and push it back again because Spencer & the powers that be at Xbox can’t afford another major flop. The next one comes with a complete overhaul in leadership imo
