That was a pretty solid showing for Xbox DOOM and Indiana Jones looked good, finally saw a little tiny bit of Fable gameplay too. Perfect Dark reboot looked sick and Avowed confirmed to be out in 2024. Plus creation kit is out for Starfield so you can play it as it’s supposed to be played, with mods glad I have a PC with gamepass
Anyone know if it’s possible to buy a longer power cord for the Series S? Looks like there’s some generic options on Amazon for like $15, but wasn’t sure if there’d be any issues with something like that.
Any cord will work (as long as it plugs in, of course). The power supply is internal so if you can find a longer cord that has the same configuration, it'll work with no trouble.
Awesome, I was assuming this was the case since it looks like a standard plug now. Will track down the “specs” and order a longer cord. Need to get this setup dialed in before NCAA releases lol
This may be a ymmv situation https://slickdeals.net/f/17620239-x...did:17620239|b2b697:variant:No-Featured-Deals
Favorite game at the moment. I'm level 28 and had access to the beta. It's a combination of Siege and Counterstrike...in the best way.
Space Marine 2 is an absolute blast. Riders Republic...looks like Ubisoft made a extreme sports Forza Horizon clone with a 25% budget.
Will every headset with a mic that has a 3.5mm cord work with the new xbox? Or does it need to be certified? I was hoping to get a nice set that I could also watch movies with and the normal gaming ones I've tried don't sound great.
Every headset with a 3.5 that plugs into the controller should work. I have the first gen. Sennheiser PC38X that I appreciate a lot.
tragically, epos will no longer be releasing gaming stuff. the pc38x may be hard to find moving forward unless sennheiser wants to get back into it. possibly the best gaming headset from an audio perspective. rip.
Edit: apparently audio will work, but the mic will not. Microsoft is incredibly stupid for not just allowing Bluetooth to work. https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/sennheiser/accentum-plus-wireless
I’m probably 8-10 hours and I just finished the first major zone which is the Vatican, and I definitely didn’t explore everything.
Is anyone playing Marvel Rivals? It's basically a reskinned Overwatch but it works well. Also, there's a new rouge-like deck-building game on Gamepass. Enjoyed the first hour playing it and gonna dive in deeper later today.
For The King 2 is out on Gamepass. I have been completely hooked by it. It's a tabletop RPG, rouge lite? Idk how else to describe it. Has up to 4 player co-op (although it's been great/easy with 2 people). Highly recommend it for those who like slower-paced, tactical/strategy games. It's nothing like that god-forsaken Crusader Kings game though.
I use it every now and then, mostly when I see a gamepass title I might be interested in, or just want to play for a half-hour, but don't want to bother downloading. I've never had any problems with it.
Read one blurb that said it was like a smaller version of Skyrim. That sounds good. But I really only play for like an hour at a time a couple nights a week, so not sure I have it in me. Guess it's worth a shot being free and all
Downloaded it but I'm just getting into KCD2, as well. Just finished up Indiana Jones last week and highly recommend if you want an immersive world in an Indiana Jones story. I rarely used the guns (didn't like them) and enjoyed just walking around punching fascists and exploring the world. It does a better job of turning an Indiana Jones type story into a video game than the Uncharted games imo. First game I've 100% in a while.
a few of reviews said the first 15-20 hrs in the first area of the game is amazing but the further you go the less complex the game gets and the late game lacks in enemy variety
Yeah the few people I saw talking about it or reviewing had the same criticism. First part is very well made then gets monotonous by the end. It's why the previews were so much better than the actual reviews, it seems. They preview build that people played was the early section.
Don't judge but I am loving and hating playing Snowrunner. Part of the appeal is the open world where my kids can grab a controller and just drive around for as long as they want. However I am enjoying the side missions and tasks.
I’m just starting the second area and I just don’t care that much about enemy variety I guess? Game is just incredibly fun to play, combat is legitimately great.
Virtually all of the giant bomb guys are loving it, I generally find myself agreeing with their takes and they’re spot on for me on this one
