So, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is like "Serfdom: The Simulator". It's very slow, controls are not that intuitive, long cut-scenes that you can't pause, but I can already tell I'm probably gonna love this game.
I can very much see this being a love/hate game. I've liked it a lot so far, but it's hard, combat especially.
I thought it was good for a tech test. Usually these “betas” are on an older build of the games as well, so I’d expect to see improvements as well.
Dying Light 2 looks so good. The first one was fantastic and the devs supported it for quite a long time with paid DLC that was actually decently worth the money and bunch of free DLC as well.
I played it for a bit, but the controls bothered me as well. I got stuck in a grave while still relatively early in the game, and that was kind of the last straw and I haven't played it since. I also thought it was a bit slow. That said, I could see myself giving it another try as it's something I would like if I actually had the attention span to complete 1 player games.
DL was the most slept on game of this generation by far imo. Game was excellent. Atmosphere, traversal, gameplay and exploration were all top notch and it’s really a beautiful game as well. The nighttime mechanic was one of the best additions to a horror game ever and the fact it had to be managed in an open world setting was genius. Big time pumped for part two but I hope there’s more weapon variations and some class based stuff. I’ll play regardless tho
I liked DL but I also got bored of it around the half way mark. I think I just suck at getting into single player games now. Rocket League ruined me
I've been mostly the same way since the debut of Xbox Live. But I do enjoy co-op campaigns and Dying Light allowed you to play with 4 people. The first time you get caught out as the sun sets in Dying Light and you're all low levels and you have to run for your life back to the safe house was hilarious playing with friends. Couple of my friends were basically just screaming, other friend said something like "DON'T LOOK BACK" and I was well ahead of everyone and safe. Then I did look back and decided to go back and try to help them make it. I was like Forrest Gump in Vietnam.
I totally understand this and it’s how I felt to an extent as well. It’s why I bring up having a more class based approach and more weapons. In one of the later DLCs they added respawning boss fights that dropped random unique weapons and that was such a clutch addition because it gave you something to go back and do to try and polish up your inventory. I hope the sequel comes packaged with that mechanic and a legitimate end game (tougher monsters, dungeons) to keep the overall grind in more of a direction
Anyone download the Blair witch game on game pass yet? IGN gave it an 8.8 and raves about it so I’m downloading it and checking it out but it’s supposed to be scary as fuck
Blair Witch game is really good so far. Atmosphere is incredible, you feel really claustrophobic in the woods, and it’s creepy as fuck so far. Would recommend if you have game pass and enjoy that kind of stuff.
Was about to ask the same. I DL'd it, but then immediately uninstalled when I realized it was single player and not PvP. Unfortunately, I never got a chance to play it, but I am curious how everyone likes it? Edit: I'm also just trying to bump Detlef Schrempf 's post since he literally asked the same thing. Glad you like it homie. Curious about your thoughts after you beat it, also how long it took you.
Detlef Schrempf Gin Buckets I downloaded it. Only had time for like 30 min but really liked it so far. By “only had time” I mean I got scared and turned it off.
My best friends and I play COD together multiple times a week bc we live a long way from each other. When we get together we communicate just fine. Any more hot takes?
Blair witch update I encountered a rare game breaking glitch which there’s a patch for on pc that got dropped yesterday. So I’m pausing playing until it’s updated so I can finish, I’d guess the games 6-8 hours based on how close I am to finishing it. Still really enjoying it and anticipating the patch will drop on Xbox within a couple of days.
GOW5 getting really great reviews. Love its straight to game pass. FYI if you are someone who can't interact with people face to face, it has multiplayer.
Video game releases are so frustrating. Do you think all the big companies call each other and are like "Hey, when are you releasing your game? First week in September? Okay perfect, we are releasing one week later." I think Black Ops was the last video game purchase I made....which also had this stupid problem because Battlefield 5 was released within a month of it....and now we have both Gears 5 and Borderlands 3 within one week of each other. Oh and Ghost Recon Break Point is released on the same day as Borderlands 3. I'm sure there's some release it before the holiday season logic to it but it is so frustrating.
Can someone explain Game Pass vs Game Pass Ultimate to me? Like I've had XBL Gold forever and I'll probably have it forever. I've got Game Pass and will probably have it forever. Should I just combine and do Ultimate? Am I missing something? I wanna get in on this early action Gears 5
Ultimate is just game pass and gold rolled into one for a slightly cheaper price and early access to some first party games like gears and sea of thieves.
