got the one x for xmas. will games automatically be upscaled? ive got the new assassins creed ive been playing on my original one, but once i install it on the X will it be 4k?
I play it on the Xbox One X but I love it. I'm sure it'll continue to improve as things become optimized. Microsoft has paid too much money to PUBG for it not to receive the attention it deserves.
It runs medium settings at 30fps. They didn’t even make a console port yet, so I imagine once they finish that the numbers will go up and the game will run more smoothly.
PUBG is really getting on my nerves. The "get in a car and drive around once theres less than 10 people left" is fucking toxic. It shouldn't be the preferred method of survival. It just ruins the game when 4 out of the 10 people are doing it at games end. I can't count how many times in the last two to three weeks I've been playing solo, down to 10 people left, fully prepared to win a match and some boner is just driving around the edge of the circle with a car. I want to shoot at him but if I do, it gives away my position entirely. If he continues to follow me and try to run over me, it gives away my position entirely. It's just fucking garbage. I can't imagine those people win THAT often because their position is constantly being broadcasted. Cars are, 1st and foremost, vehicles for transportation. Yes, you should be able to run over people periodically but it shouldn't be a safe haven for idiots at the end of games. /rantover

Been playing Battlefield 1 a bit lately, the new maps are pretty fun. It's all Galipoli theater, ANZAC vs Ottomans.
got Battlefront 2 with the remaining $30 of a gift card, have thoroughly enjoyed the multiplayer so far. havent started the campaign.
I'm pretty good in solo.....but there's plenty of times when I don't get far. Duos and squad are much tougher for me. Its such a shame they fucked up the microtransactions. Its a really, really good base game in my opinion. I played through the entire "trial" on EA Access....and will probably pick up the game eventually. Not bored enough with my other games at this point though.
Yes, agree. Haven’t noticed as much in solo but duo and squad, yeah that sux. I’m totally addicted to the game tho. My favorite is when I’m loaded and ready to win and grab a vehicle(car not khar). Drive to the circle(not to drive around it mind you) and boom, game crashes. I land in water and die. But, I keep coming back.
Still liking Fortnite better than PUBG for that game mode. Something buggy happens in about 75% of the games I play on PUBG, the worst was when I got a SCAR and then walked through a staircase while trying to go upstairs in a house only to get stuck behind/under the staircase with literally no way of leaving.
Best game I ever had in PUBG Never found a gun I had a frag grenade, 5 bandages, a motorcycle helmet and a First Aid kit. I made top 7 and carjacked 2 people it started with a frag grenade into fist fight, then once i got into the first circle a guy killed someone and left his car to raid a building i stole his car then i proceeded to to play bumper cars with a jeep till my car ran out of gas, he hunted me down rammed into my car til it exploded then saw me laying there slowly drove towards me then hit turbo to hit me i slid to the side then took off running to hide behind a broken shed, got to top 20 where a guy parked his jeep next to my bush then proceeded to fight someone and chase him on foot i stole his jeep and drove around in circles while the circle closed in til I had no health from getting shot so I bailed out of the jeep killing myself because they were not worthy of the kill.
Glitches aside, the gameplay of Fortnite is better imo. I don't really care if something is more realistic or not, and don't really understand why realism is valued so heavily by so many people. Would be happy to hear an explanation as to why it accounts for so much, because I don't get it. For me, realism doesn't really affect my experience. I fully realize it's just a game -- whether it's Overwatch or COD characters I'm controlling. I would assume everyone else does as well, which is why I find it so confusing.
I just think that the “gritty military shooter” game is played out. Not really all that fun either. Games usualy need something that make them stand out and unique to them in order to keep my attention.
Disagree. I think some of the most fun I've had is playing hardcore mode on BF1 with the HUD turned off. It is ludicrously hard and chaotic. There's nothing like hearing footsteps coming up from behind you, wheeling around, and then pulling a Dick Cheney by shotgunning your teammate in the face. It's a shitshow and I love it.
Lol at PUBG being “realistic”. Yes yes let’s play dress up and chug energy drinks in the middle of a fight to the death. Fortnite is way way more fun of a game and I actually don’t think it’s that close.
This is a dumb take. Obviously there are varying levels of realism in video games and PUBG leans towards the more realistic. Not every shooter can be Arma so idk why you would laugh at people saying PUBG is realistic.

Haven’t touched fortnite since pubg launched and it appears fortnite has gotten pretty silly since then. Also not a fan of games where the main strategy when in close quarters is to jump around rapidly. Unless that game is overwatch

I don't really understand what you mean by silly, because I don't think it's any sillier than it was initially. Unless you mean silly skins and pickaxes? If it's those, then I'll point to my last post as they don't affect gameplay at all. Best criticism of Fortnite imo is the jumping around while fighting. I don't love that either.That being said, there's absolutely a very high skill cap for close quarters combat... It involves building and also jumping, a dude I play with is incredible at close range fights, and I've seen him win a 6v1 with a white and green pump shotgun.
Never realize how much i love Gin Buckets and Super Vegeta "Fake" games look better. And often play better. More colors looks better. Fuck high levels of "realism" (and by realism i mean only shades of gray/green/brown")

Team Pubg, but Fortnite is fun as well. It's like an arcade version of pubg. More gunfights in Fortnite, and the looting feels more satisfying if that makes sense. More constant action. Pubg gun fights definitely get the heart racing like no other game I've played before though. When you encounter someone, it's like the 1v1 to win a call of duty SnD round. Shit is intense and I love it.
See, i always thought SnD was the worst thing cod offers. Really just dont like slow multiplayer games. Fortnite plays 8000x faster than pubg, thats why i like it. Also military style shooters that arent 99.9% hitscan just dont do it for me.
I like playing aggressively, so fortnite is the game for me. Sitting in a bush or laying in some tall grass just isn’t my thing. Not trashing anyone that likes it, it’s just not for me.
I originally hated Fortnite but it’s grown on me. I haven’t played pubg in weeks. Can’t speak for console as I’m on pc now but I’ve seen how awful pubg runs on consoles and how much people abuse using vehicles at the end of games. It shouldn’t even be a comparison, fortnite is better right now imo. The weekly updates to fortnite alone are enough to propel it over pubg. All fortnite needs is another map and a few new weapons which no doubt are coming.
