I have my 360 hooked up to my tv through a hdmi cable. Anytime something loud happens during a game (particularly during cut scenes) the tv speakers crackle and pop and it sounds like shit. Any ideas on why this might be or what I can do to fix it?

Have you tried a different HDMI cord or a different HDMI outlet?

I've tried other HDMI outlets but am using the HDMI cord that comes with the 360.

Is your television a Vizio by chance?

No, LG. Never any problems with DVD's or the TV, its just on the Xbox360

Could be a decoder issue. Try to disable dolby on the xbox audio settings to test.
