this is what i am making for tomorrow https://www.food.com/amp/recipe/skylike-chili-skyline-chili-copycat-110548 it’s a perfect copycat i think
i cook it once or twice a month and every time i taste it i laugh to myself and say to no one “yup this is my best batch yet”
Can’t find the Super Bowl menu thread but making some skyline chili dip for the game. I assume it will taste awful but I’m going to plow through it for the Bengals.
Looks like extra to me. There’s a lot of cheese but I don’t feel like mine have that much Not if you eat it fresh
The grocery stuff is better then nothing but it doesn’t hold a candle to the freshly graded cheese that you get in store.
One summer I worked in the commissary at Kings Island and one of my jobs was cutting 50 pound blocks of cheddar into chunks and grading them into finely shredded cheddar for the Skyline booths. I made giant plastic lugs of the stuff. I just wanted to swim in it. Lovely stuff.
The correct way to eat a coney is to take a pinch of the cheese off the coney and put in on an oyster cracker or two put a dab of hot sauce on top.
This is correct however, I fill the cracks of the cracker with hot sauce then put the cheese on top .
Buy a block of cheese and grate it yourselves, you trailer trash methadone addicts. Cheddar* you jort wearing Juggalo
my hating ass wife promised me she would eat a big old plate of it if the bengals win sunday. can’t wait to get it fired up this weekend
My ex made us a homemade skyline pizza on super bowl Sunday a few years back. Was a lot better than this pic looks. This might have been taken awhile after we took it out of the oven
I'd forgotten about that one. That was as far back as late 90s I think, because I swear I recall my dad ordering it and he's been gone since 99. If Strongs ever brings theirs back, it's worth a try. They have a Reading and few NKY locations. It's brick oven pizza, so generally better than the chains. The chili pizza is a knife and forker, too messy to eat with your hands.
That’s cool https://amp.usatoday.com/amp/6827361001 Your cans of chili might actually be full of cream of chicken soup, Skyline recall warns
