Really stinks not having a single reliever that can be trusted on a nightly basis. McArthur, Zerpa, and Harvey give up a TON of hard contact - like 15th percentile and worse in exit velo and hard hit% Meanwhile, Stratton is in the 99th percentile for exit velo and 96th percentile for hardhit%. That should be good, right? Not if you're in the 1st percentile in BB% lol
every batted ball during macarthur’s adventure had an exit velo of 100+ and I’ve seen a few experts saying that’s not good
I personally think Pasquatch is a bit overrated and gets hyped up based on his cool nickname. This however is not overrated.
You won’t see it in the box score, but that inning is because Loftin ran the old dude up to 12 pitches during his AB. He was rolling until Loftin refused to get out.
Anyone know what Brady’s pitch mix has been tonight? Someone on the radio or a podcast said he embraced being a starter and threw 5 pitches last game.
36K+ tonight. Open that check book and sign off on the Crochet, Kopech, Pham trade Mr Sherman. Lock Crochet in for 4 yrs, let Kopech close for the next 2, lock Pham in his own locker room and hit him lead off for the rest of the year. With Crochet locked up there’s no fear in trading Singer for a minor league haul this offseason.
“The Kansas City Royals, sources tell The Athletic’s Jayson Stark, are targeting one of three right-handed bats — Lane Thomas, Taylor Ward or Luis Rengifo. Kansas City pursued Randy Arozarena, but got outbid, and didn’t line up with the Orioles for Hays. A trade for another reliever, to complement the earlier addition of Hunter Harvey, also is possible.” Not looking at contracts it seems Rengifo is having the best year out of those 3.
Now that they’re winning I see Illig’s useless ass is back sitting front row. Cut a check for Griezmann ya ahole.
