germany has easily looked the most impressive thus far after that, i'd say argentina, the dutch and south korea in no particular order have also been impressive
germany netherlands argentina south korea ghana im surprised so many people were impressed by brazil - i thought quite the opposite
i agree brazil needs to sort some things out, people are giving north korea too much credit and brazil not enough blame kaka sucks and they need to keep their width and find a true passer if theyre gonna continue with the 4-2-3-1 germany argentina netherlands south korea ghana or chile
How much of that do you think has to do with level of competition in game one? Ivory Coast thoroughly outplayed Portugal imo.
North Korea was a bad matchup for Brazil since they didn't even attempt to play offense, and Brazil kills people by counterattacking. But they still dominated the game. I'm surprised people are listing Netherlands. Outside of a few players, most of their team looked terrible. All their big stars didn't show up.
Other than Germany, you can pretty much put any of 5-6 different teams in your 2-5 and have a legit case for them.
i dont think level of competition is as big a factor as people want to make it out to be in the world cup especially, everyone's at least decent you can tell if a team has skill on the ball individually and tactically regardless of their opponents
Brazil had no reason to let up that goal. Agree about Netherlands, people are just saying it because they won.
i saw a moment of quality from the netherlands that i hadn't seen from many other teams with the second goal after the substitutions if robben keeps his width on the right side and doesn't crowd sneidjer and they start elia on the left, they have the tactics and the players to win
With the way Elia played and the energy he brought to the team, it would be foolish if they don't start him next game. Dude is sick.
yeah but the dutch are notorious for having as much infighting amongst their players and favoritism from their coaches as the spanish are so its no guarantee
1) Germany 2) Brazil 3) Swiss 4) Dutch 5) Argentina 6) England 7) Chile 8) IC 9) Spain 10) Italy After some thinking I needed to change my list.
This....I am impressed on what the Dutch could do with Robben on the wing and without VDV and Sneijder on the pitch at the same time. Argentina played well, had a lot of chances to score, game could have gotten out of hand. Poor finishing though.
1 germany  2 Netherlands 3 Brazil 4 Italy 5 South Korea damn it is tough to even find 5 teams that fielded a decent performance
