i tried to be caring and kind with his weight struggles but it didnt work so now i am going to have to move on to the tough love phase
move flipped flopped 100 times on this issue. I’ve also gained weight over that same time. Not sure if the two are related
It’s crazy to me that this man and Simmons just didn’t play basketball this past year. Two number 1’picks man
Went ahead and copped the new Zion 2’s that were just released. Just doing my best to support the big fella during these trying times.
I think it may be too, though it sounds nuts. They avoid the drama going forward and some team (the Knicks) will be thirsty enough to trade a lot for him if it comes to that, even if he stays 80 lbs over decent playing weight.
He admitted he doesn't watch film. Cards put in a 4 hour per week independent study clause. It got leaked and everyone made fun of him. He then held a PC and said it was disrespectful. Cards then removed the clause
Wonder if because of the kyler clause being removed now the pels will remove the fat clause from zions contract
is weight stuff not already baked into contracts normally? arizona having to put a clause in kyler's contract to make sure he just does his job seems pretty different
I can guarantee you there has never been an nba contract that says your fat ass needs to stay under 300 lbs or else
Don't really follow the nba, but I've seen weight contracts in the NFL. Weigh in above X and you get fined until you meet your weight limit
Breasturants employ their servers as “Models”so they punish/fire the ones that aren’t maintaining a certain image. If they’re allowed to get away with it, I would hope the NBA could as well. The league could even change its name to No Bodily Autonomy
Kyler admitted to not watching film? I don't remember seeing that. That seems like a crazy thing to admit if he did. Although I do think that theres probably only a few QBs that independent film really helps significantly. It's really hard to break down film, know everyone's assignments, pick up tendencies, and apply that information to a gameplan. Most QBs probably get a lot more from watching with coaches. So in that sense I think it's probably overblown. Marino pretty famously never watched film aside from coach/team sessions in his early career.
“I think I was blessed with the cognitive skills to just go out there and just see it before it happens,” Murray said, via Sarah Kezele of 98.7 Arizona Sports. “I’m not one of those guys that’s going to sit there and kill myself watching film. I don’t sit there for 24 hours and break down this team and that team and watch every game because, in my head, I see so much.” https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...oesnt-spend-extensive-time-watching-film/amp/ Plus, if he watched film, there would be no reason to put that clause in. Guys like Manning watch 20+ hours of film a week
That's a lot different than not watching film at all. It clearly worked for Manning but if I were to guess, it probably wouldnt do many QBs all that much better to watch film alone 20+ hours until their eyes bleed.
Sounds like a gifted & talented kid who will not take it well when he figures out that a lot of his peers are just as smart and clever as he is.
