Sort of kind of sentimental. I just like the experience that I have with shooting them. Plus I dig the design. The 96 because I want something different than 9mm. Too bad they don't make .45
As long as you're comfortable with it. Shot placement is more important than caliber most times anyway.
My thoughts exactly, I'm more than willing to come down waste my ammo and even pay a small fee of maybe $200 bucks a week to kill any hog I can get and they can even keep the meat. But if they want to charge excessive prices to only get 1 to 2 hogs, then screw em, let em keep tearing your land and crops up.
Go knock on doors. More times than not you can find a farmer willing to let you kill some hogs. They usually won't let you during deer season, but during the summertime I'd be you'd find a taker.
naturally. that was most impressive part. granted these are range guns but my shots were where they should be.
Those do look awesome and would love to try it but god damn, I've seen some for around $4,000 for 2 hours. My ideal hunt is finding some farmer or rancher who is having a big problem with them and then allowing me to bait them and set up some places and murder the little bastards for a week.
When they were just starting, the company that AR platform shotgun was including one with in that price, with the heli hunt. That was a few years ago but I wish I'd done it.
The government can't control it's own guns, but they want to control ours? FOH. @CBS5AZ: #BREAKING: 5 of 11 guns found at El Chapo's Mexican hideout came from AZ. One was a .50 cal rifle confirmed to be a Fast & Furious gun.
ok gents- advice needed. Looking at my first AR- I want in .308- thinking of the DPMS Oracle as a good starter. Thoughts, Opinions, or recommendations?
I have a DPMS .308. Its always been a little problematic due to rounds getting jammed. How will you be using it? The .308 is heavy as fuck. I enjoy my Rock River .223 far more. I get all my guns from Wild West
I actually will hunt a little with it. Deer and Pigs- just not sure the .223 round is big enough to handle that.
Honestly, not to sound like a bitch, but that .308 is a pain in the ass to lug around or hang out in a tree stand with. If I am hunting for hogs and deer (i.e., whatever comes around), I use my trustee Remington 700 .270. I just feel its far more accurate. Outside of deer season, I tote the .308 or .223. Maybe its just me, but if I am deer hunting, I don't feel the need at all for an AR. And you can get some good deals on a decent Remington 700 or the like. Oh, and I have never had any issue with a .223 taking down a hog as long as I go earshot on him.
10/22 is like the 870 express. Not the flashiest or most expensive but has years and years of reliability and is a great value.

I have the Remington 700 in .308 Was just looking at adding something fun, sometimes I am not in the stand and I am stalking.
AR-10's are notorious for jamming and are heavy as hell. .223/5.56 can kill whatever you place a good shot on, but I'm not a fan. 300 BLK is my favorite as it is still lightweight, packs a much bigger punch than the .223 and if you ever go suppressed, 300 is perfect. 6.8 is a great gun, but loud as fuck and still too heavy imo.
Picked up a mag extension for my G43. It's made by strike industries(whose website is sold out but Amazon has it), fairly decent match aesthetically, adds 2 rounds and some pinky room. Around $20 w/ shipping.
Something I found looking at gun porn on Instagram. Some silencer company named Silencerco has made their first gun and its called the Maxim 9
I've been killing deer with a 6.8 AR. It's set up similar to my other 5.56 carbines- there's no weight difference. 110gr Sierra Pro Hunters knock their dick in the dirt.
Picked this up today. S&W M&P .40 Pro Series CORE. Plan on getting a red dot sight RMR or Deltapoint or something.
Buffs78 joined you as a Sig 320 owner (9mm, compact). My buddy didn't want to carry it after his issues & basically gave it away. It has been issue-free for a while now. His loss, was my gain... Plan on putting it through the paces this weekend
My Mk12 and Mk13 I started this build before the site crashed. I remember posting it in the old thread. 26" Lilja Barrel Chambered in .300 win-mag
