Got my Trijicon RMR mounted on my M&P Core. Never had one before but I like it a lot so far. Only been shooting my laserlyte until I can get to the range. This is the RM07 which is the adjustable 6.5 MOA red dot
Lol thanks. Great shooter and it will shoot sub-MOA out to 500m (Mk13 is a 1200m gun) or so with Mk262. I'm eager to sling some of Black Hill's new rounds that have Sierra's 77gr ballistic tip bullets. Ballistic coefficient is reportedly drastically better than BTHP's. Current project is a M110/SASS chambered in 6.5 CM :)
Really wanting something fun next and kinda tired of ARs. Looking at either SBRing and suppressing a PS90 or one of the Zenith MP5 clones.
Hope you got to try it out and had an issue-free time. First time I took mine out the accuracy was putting my Sig SP2022 to shame.
Funny question- with as many firearms as I own, I have never been to a gun show. There is one in my area this weekend. Are they worth going to? Can you find some deals?
I like them. Deals are kind of scarce, but they're fun. In my experience the more money you're trying to spend the better deal you'll find. The lower end shit is pretty much par for the course. Might be able to save a little cash
So what's a good IWB holster for my G43 if i'm wearing clothes where the pocket holster really doesn't work?
The one at Morocco Shrine is prett meh, but I might meet dblplay1212 up there before/after the gun range... Welcome to join
I would say you hit the nail on the head. If your looking for a gun that normally retails for $400 buck at most box stores or gun stores, you might get lucky and find it at a gun show for $375 or so. But by that time you wandered the whole show and had to jew the guy down for 15 minutes and you better have cash. Now if are going in looking for that gun that costs $1200-$1500 dollars you can usually get them for a few hundred off. I know when the gun show comes to my town you are better going the first night and bringing all cash. Thats when they seem like they are most willing to make a deal cause on saturday it's mostly just guys coming to look and dick them around and not buy.
I don't like how crossbreed does their logo on the clips. The last thing I want is to draw more attention to them.
Who is responsible for this step in the process? Start giving them a call. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Be persistent and they'll get it through when they get tired of getting calls from you. I called my police department, the ones responsible for the permitting process, every week once they got past their 8 week deadline as per state law.
Labels are given. You'll be a gun nut when the collective decides you're a gun nut. NOT A SECOND BEFORE!!!!!
What are you going to get? You've gotta have a scary black gun before you can even consider being a gun nut.
The ball is in the court of the NJ State Police at this point. If it were the local PD I would have the permits the same day as its a small town and I grew up with literally half of those guys. I'm on the FD with two state troopers but they're not in the division that handles firearms applications.
Thinking of getting a pistol. Looking for something decent but not super pricey. Don't have my concealed permit so not planning on carrying. Figured it wouldn't hurt to get some input. Thanks in advance.
Not the greatest picture but this is my new Savage 110 FCP in .338 Lapua Magnum. Just had the Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50 mounted on it. Plan on getting a cheek rest, bipod and sling next. Haven't shot it yet. Hopefully this weekend. Loving that Accu-trigger though
went to my first one a few weeks back. I was surprised at what is actually there and now I have a better idea for next time. I didn't buy anything major. . .a few bumper stickers and a rail light for the wifes G-Lock. The people were nice, lots of deals (lots of old junk too) and fairly kid friendly. I took my 4 year old he had a blast. Wouldn't advise a kid in a stroller though.
I'm gonna assume concealment isn't an issue. If you're looking for simplicity I say Glock 19 or S&W MP. Revolvers are always nice too if its just for home defense, but with that said I'd steer towards shotgun. Mossberg or Remmington, can't go wrong with either. All can be had for around $500
no- I didn't end up going based on what Jorts said. There is a better one coming around in a couple of weeks. Still looking for a decent entry level AR- think I am being too picky.
I still went & it was as terrible as I remembered... The good one is typically at the Fairgrounds, you know when?
