tonight I'll be at one of the following max's win dive hunky dory hellen roost B19 cultivare if you see me say hello at the show
Tell me how hunky dory is if you went. Apparently it's on Houston restaurant weeks and we might check it out. Bernadines was really good, but way overpriced.
Hoss Bonaventure you gonna try to go to Day for Night again this year? I think the lineup is out soon. They've been teasing an announcement recently and Songkick sent out an email that Washed Out is playing at it.
Ate at Pappas Bros steakhouse tonight. Definitely the best restaurant steak I have ever had. The lobster deviled eggs were my favorite.
Has anyone been to Something Wicked? This is my last year in Houston and debating if I should go or not.
I thought it was good but overpriced. Bill was over $300 if I recall. Bernadine's next door was better imo. That new pizza place the next block over from dallas (cane russo or something) is supposed to be great too.
Cane Rosso. Can confirm it is real good. Get the Honey Bastard pizza if you can deal with some spiciness
Go to Karbach or 8th Wonder. St Arnolds is the most noteworthy brewery in town, but those two are more fun
If you like Vietnamese, Hyunh is right between the two and is fire. BYOB though so maybe just walk out with some 8th wonder brews and profit. Or Pappa Charlies bbq which is right there as well and is the best in town tx bbq
Same for 8th Wonder. Literally satan's asshole right now. Kirby Icehouse also suffers from this problem which is why i prefer Alabama ice house. Alabama has those white privilege big trees + covered areas.
about three weeks ago a buddy's wife planned a birthday hh for him at kirby ice house and reserved a table outside. i loled really hard.
I don't even want to go out at night now. Have to go to a friend's birthday party tonight and I'm dreading it. I'm going to be a sweat soaked mess.
Damn big group. I always check 3rd base side section 110-111 area up close to the top of the sections. Usually always empty.
Last night was the most crowded I've seen a July game in about 8 years, so that may be tough. Plus it's red raider night at the ballpark so that'll add another 70 or so people.
Ya we are winning so more people will show but I don't know what it is about the top of those sections but they are always open. I feel like some firm bought a huge chunk for clients and never use them.
The Black Angels just announced they will be playing at White Oak on Friday August 19th. My tickets have been purchased.
Missing them while peaking was my second biggest regret from Free Press minus getting fake evacuated before the National the next night.
I was on the rail. I couldn't miss them. They never disappoint. They are one of my favorites. I'll see you guys there.
ICYMI: ghostland will be playing at white oak on August 21st as they open up the indoor venue. It'll probably be the same set list as the last 10 years, but they usually put on a good show. https://twitter.com/whiteoakmh/status/759143497509302272
Yeah they did. Going to Black Angels on the 19th and Explosions in the Sky/Preoccupation/Ghostland on the 21st for sure.
