Went to the grand opening of the Under the Radar Brewery today. It was a nice. It's like a neighborhood block party brewery. The beers were good. They had about 6 to 8 beers I believe.
You expected much from a neighborhood brewery? I heard their soft open wasn't good. They ran out of everything real early?
I don't know what I went to. I was literally on a bike ride when I found the place and decided on a whim to stop in. I'll go back for sure I just wasnt super impressed. its by axel rad right?
Did not know DJ Windows98 was Winn Butler. That's pretty dope. Also Aphex Twin's first performance in 8 years or something.
I love Hugo's too. Just counted and I'm 15/25. Can't believe I still haven't been to oxheart. Went to BCN last week, great spot.
I've been to 8. Of the 8 I've been to I would rank them 1. Underbelly-their flash fried vegetables in fish sauce is probably my favorite dish. 2. Hugo's - been a few times and always loved it. Still need to go to their brunch 3. Pax Americana - only been once and it was prix fix NYE. Honestly don't remember anything because I was so fucked up but it was fun as shit. 4. Da Marco - really solid date spot. Big fan. 5. Uchi-that Brussels sprouts game so deluxe 6. Tony's - way too many old people. 7. Coltivare- no reservations is a huge pain in the ass and it's always packed 8. Kata robata - I dunno I don't get the hype.
I still think Pax has been the most consistently great restaurant I've frequented over the past two years. Never disappoints.
Himalaya is insanely overrated btw dont waste your time. Kiran's is better by any possible measure you could come up with.
Indika is really good. Only been once. I wanted to keep it weird so I got the goat brains. I could go back several times and not get to try everything I want to on that menu.
