https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1879934341/facecradle-travel-pillow-upgrade-to-sleeping-class Anybody see this travel pillow? Seems like it would really work. Considering backing to get one but I've never payed for anything on kickstarter before.
I am flying over to England for a couple weeks in October for work but am planning to try and have a long weekend in Europe before the work begins. I know that it is cheaper to book a flight from my arrival airport in England to where ever I am wanting to head (in this case I fly in to Manchester and am thinking of flying to Prague that afternoon). My question is, are there other travel hacks that I am missing in making this travel between Manchester and some place like Prague as inexpensive as possible?
Look at RyanAir and EasyJet for flights, 2 of the most popular budget airlines in Europe. They're no frills/cheap, but very reliable. They're kind of like Spirit over here, except a much, much better reputation---and deservedly so, I've flown them several times with no problems. Not sure out of Manchester, but I know from London it'd be easy and probably only like $100 to get to Prague RT on one of those airlines. If you know your dates that you're going to be traveling, it wouldn't hurt at all to go ahead and book those flights, either.
Went ahead and ordered one. For that price I'm willing to take the risk if it sucks because I can't sleep sitting up at all. It was like $39 with shipping. Probably will look stupid but If I can sleep I don't care.
I'm considering it too. Even if I just use it on my flight to Thailand and throw it out, a good rest before that trip is worth $39
looking for a beachy/island-y vacation for next summer, me and the wife and our 9 yo son. Looking at the Caribbean, the wife was looking at Jamaica and Punta Cana. We've had a lot of people recommend an all-inclusive in a general sense, any of y'all have any particular places you would recommend in the Caribbean? Doesn't have to be Jamaica or PC, or even an all-inclusive, still pretty open at this point because we don't know much about the areas yet. As always, I think to ask TMB first. TIA
Virgin islands are a top notch destination, but can be significantly more expensive than say a Dominican, Jamaica, Riviera Maya, etc
they were mostly physicians, NPs, and lawyers, so makes sense they all loved Vail, CO as well. now I'll assume thats super expensive too.
US and British Virgin Islands (I think the BVIs are better) are amazing, and while generally pretty expensive, summer is their offseason so you should be able to find some cheap flights/accomodation. Not as cheap as Mexico or Jamaica, but not outrageous that time of year You'd have to fly into St Thomas, but easy to get to St John, Jost, other places. Anegada is incredible and good for a family like that, but kind of a hike.
Wait, tell me more about this. Are you talking about a Chase CC giving you free lounge access at airports?
You and your authorized users can access 900+ VIP airport lounges worldwide with Priority PassTM Select and enjoy lounge amenities such as WIFI, free snacks, beverages and more when you activate your membership.4 The new Chase Sapphire Reserve card. It's tight
Some members on Reddit have posted its not AUs but whoever you're traveling with. Potentially unlimited guests. Up to the discretion of the lounge. Crazy.
Really wanted the CSR prior to Europe tomorrow night. Looks like it's not going to happen. :feelsbad:
For those looking at New years, I'm seeing a lot of good stuff around that time to Costa flight wise. Charlotte and atl 400ish
I forgot to add to this, searching as one ways instead of round trips has been producing much better results Dec 27/28 to jan 4/6 out of Charlotte to San Jose for examplewas 420
One Knight big fan of St John. It's small, unpopulated and all the beaches are remote and calm waters for snorkling. Rent a jeep and just hit up 2 different breaches each day. Place is awesome. Take a sailing trip to BVI and JVD
Anyone have a line on best departure airport for Croatia? I was thinking probably NYC but I haven't done my thing yet to figure it out
Leave for Ireland on Thursday -3 days in Dublin -2 days in Galway (staying in a castle) -1 day in Dingle -2 days in Cork -1 day in Dublin
I did a ton of research on it last year for Split. Ranked (might have changed since last year): JFK IAD ORD BWI
Yeah jfk is usually the best for that stuff. Sometimes there's funky shit with certain airports though. Bwi is good to know because of southwest
Because it's Eastern Europe, may be easier to get a really cheap WOWair/norwegian/etc. to London or Paris and then catch a 2nd flight. The budget airlines fly out of DC a good bit, too. When I went in 2013, I went Amsterdam --> Zadar, and when I left I went Dubrovnik-->Munich for a night.
Check out Zagreb over the costal airports from a cost standpoint. Sometimes better to drive as it is about a 3 hour trek I believe. There is an Enterprise in Zargeb airport but make sure you pay online and preferably through a travel agent as Croatia is similar to a few other eastern EU countries that put a HUGE deposit that sits on your credit card. I'm in Croatia at least 6 times per year but I travel inland and only been to the coast a few times but it is awesome to say the least.
Doing Jewel Runaway Bay Jamaica in January with the fam. Looks pretty sweet. Has kick ass features for kids. Memories Splash in PC is highly recommended.
Gong to Costa Rica in November for a wedding. You have some experience down that way? Flying into Liberia.
Wish I had a chance at that. Up top is still amazing and I even went on one of if not the foggiest day of the year. At least from what our tour guide told us. Couldn't see shit for half of it, but clouds would clear for ten minutes at a time and saw some amazing views up top.
I'm in seattle until wednesday. Staying downtown. Any bars or restaurants i should hit up? Fuck the weather here today is incredible. From south louisiana to seattle in august. Just two totally different worlds.
went to Telluride, CO for a wedding last weekend. That place is unreal. Easily a top 3 place I've been and I've been to Europe and Asia like 15 times.
