I root for Texas State. So y'all being a bunch of special snowflakes freaking out over a 5-7 season is comical to me.
We have 9 wins, and our coach almost definitely knew about all the Baylor rape shenanigans that went on there and did nothing about it, so he's probably not leaving. Things are looking up!
Not G5 or FBS, but North Alabama moving up to D1 FCS. Big South football, Atlantic Sun everything else.
I really don't know why they would join the A-Sun since every knew A-Sun member now has to join the Big South in football. As soon as Liberty finds a way to get to the FBS, the BS is dead as a football conference.
Some good matchups this bowl season for G5s. WKU/Memphis in Boca Toledo/App in Montgomery Houston/SDSU in Vegas LaTech/Navy in Fort Worth BYU/Wyoming in San Diego
That would be turning the G5 into the new FCS. I'm against it. I would rather the top G5 school get the #8 playoff spot once they expand.
I've been for a 16 team playoff with all 10 conference champions + 6 at larges. But we know that won't ever happen.
I think its a win all around. G5 schools get to play for the ultimate goal of their sport, P5 fans don't have to listen to G5 fans whine when they think they have a team that deserves to play Bama
Brian Hill gone to the pros after his JR year Josh Allen potentially also joining the draft class as a RS-SO. he comes back in addition to Hill Wyoming is losing Chase Roullier from the OL, Tanner Gentry and Jake Maulhardt at WR, Jake Hollister at TE, Chase Appleby at DL and Michael Wacha/DJ May at LB so some big shoes to fill but RS-FR Logan Wilson was a freshman All-American and MWC Freshman of the Year. Josh being back would be gigantic as that's a first round talent at QB. So hopefully some of Bohl's recruits are ready to step up and fill the holes left by the collective departure of the aforementioned guys looking ahead to 2017, Cowboys will be playing the following non-conference schedule: 9/2: @ Iowa 9/9: Gardner-Webb 9/16: vs Oregon 9/30: vs Texas State
Don't think anyone is pushing WMU for inclusion in the 4 team playoff. A 13-0 MAC team with 2 Big Ten wins on the road is probably deserving of a mid-teens rank and a Cotton Bowl bid though. I think Houston would have had a legit case if they had run the table.
P5s traveling to G5s in 2017. Virginia Tech at ECU (9/16) Georgia Tech at UCF (9/16) Mizzou at UConn (10/28) Illinois at USF (9/16) Texas Tech at Houston (9/23) UCLA at Memphis (9/16) Vandy at MTSU (9/2) UNC at ODU (9/16) Mississippi State at LaTech (9/9) Stanford at Rice (9/2) Kentucky at Southern Miss (9/2) Arizona at UTEP (9/16) Iowa State at Akron (9/23) Kansas at Ohio (9/16) BC at NIU (9/1) UVA at Boise (9/23) Oregon State at Colorado State (9/23) Oregon at Wyoming (9/16) Stanford at San Diego State (9/16) Wake Forest at App State (9/23) Miami (FL) at Arkansas State (9/9) Oklahoma State at South Alabama (9/9)

There was some folks who really wanted him to come home to Southern Miss after Eustachy and Tyndall. I never liked the guy
I didn't put too much thought in my seeds. Basically just ranked teams based on Sagarin. ODU, Troy, Wyoming were all considered for #16.
Pretty crazy what's happened there. I keep up with UTEP a little because of the Floyd/Hattiesburg connection and it seems like everything has just fallen apart this year. You guys play us on Saturday in what might be the ugliest CBB game of the year.
That was my pick for head coach last go round and this off-season. With that said, Cook is a more ideal OC for our team for historical reasons and sticking to the Paul Johnson / Erk tree. I think you got a great head coach currently and now have a solid coach in waiting. Hopefully we won't snap the win streak this season
Little in thread discussion. Who was the most dominant player your team played on the regular? For me it was Dewayne Harris at ECU. Dude just destroyed us when he played. One of the best college football players I've ever watched.
I don't see how Moglia can be around too much longer with this hire and I'm kind of excited about it. We've been wondering, with his age, what his time frame was when we hired him and I think this tells us only another year or 2. Chadwell brings a different approach with the option vs what y'all are known for so hopefully it give us a little bit of an advantage on that front. I don't see us being really competitive for several years, but I'must hoping for a bowl game here and there.
GA Southern... idiots to keep Summers. Offense looked lost for the majority of the season. Coastal will be fine and will be in upper echelon of this league within 3 years. Skill players are just as good as any in league, but difference in trenches.
Wyoming has hired Scottie Hazelton as defensive coordinator. He was on the Jags coaching staff the past few years but was with Bohl at NDSU at the start of his tenure there
Back in the news. http://www.cbssports.com/college-fo...a-is-not-going-away-despite-myriad-obstacles/
Apparently UConn is wanting to go to the Big East in hoops/olympic sports. Wonder what happens with football.
https://www.profootballfocus.com/college-football-the-top-10-returning-group-of-five-players/ Josh Allen at #3 behind DL Ed Oliver of Houston and OL Will Hernandez of UTEP
Sounds like the AAC might be adding VCU, Dayton and Wichita St as affiliate members (non-FB) to boost their basketball profile http://www.kansas.com/sports/college/wichita-state/
i don't see the article? nvm http://www.kansas.com/sports/college/wichita-state/article135963693.html
