This collapse is absolutely embarrassing. Seriously, how can a team be this hot/cold? Some of that has to be on the coaches and the vets in the locker room. Seriously, how can they look this bad with only Larkin out. I've tried to keep things in perspective here, but this is absolutely embarrassing. Show some pride and some fight guys
There is no where to put either guy right now because Yzerman has completely fucked up how he’s built the blue line.
We have been a poor even strength team all season. We just buried a lot of chances and didn’t allow a ton of high danger chances. Now we are the same terrible even strength team but we our offense is cold and defense is giving up all sorts of chances.
Edvinsson is banged up right now but if he’s healthy and still not in the lineup when the team comes home I have no time for Yzerman’s plan. At that point he’s just plagiarizing the Holland playbook.
Veleno is done for the night after being hit by a puck. Call up Kasper. Zero reason to baby these guys. GR is going to make the Playoffs so these guys will still get a run when our season ends.

Lalonde has plenty of flaws as a coach, namely relying on vets way too much. But at the end of the day Yzerman is in his fifth year and he has built a dogshit defense and dogshit goaltending. People can defend him all they want but just about any other GM of any other franchise would likely be fired with this kind of collapse this far into their tenure.
When a team falls apart like this when one guy goes out, it’s on the GM. It’s a dog shit roster, filled with bad contracts. Glad the crowd is booing their ass.

My annoyance has boiled over now mainly because this losing streak has shown our reliance on vets was a failure. Bottoming out this badly and having so much of the roster still under contract next season is just depressing. If we missed the playoffs because teams like Tampa went on epic heaters, I can handle that. A full on collapse where basically the entire team sans Raymond looks completely disinterested is a disaster.
He and Walman are the only two D I’d want to see return to the team next year. That’s not realistic but it’s what should happen.
