Funny you mentioned that, I was just thinking of ordering that tonight for the draft. Pop a lortab, lee lee's, draft, match play. Win
Not completely sure, probably a good dinner and drinks, see some of the city. I think we are only there for a night. When I get more info from the sister in law I'll know more.
get reservations at husk if you can if not ill tell you somewhere else to go you can walk the city, thats easy i can also help with columbia when you know your plan
I've still never made it over there. Really havented ventured to too many bars off king street when I go DT.
Excellent, I'll be in contact, the sil and her husband both went to usc so I'm sure they will have ideas, but, they are really flaky, so I'd like to have some knowledge of the area going in.
Vendue is one of my favorite spots in the city but you have to get there before 10 where is this going?
Eh, depends on the night. Sometimes it's fine either way I think it's like the 400 block of Nassau street so thats right up by Edmunds oast and tattooed moose But I just read yesterday that every Saturday this summer starting June 6 he's going to be serving brisket and sausage at revelry brewing which is like right next door to that location Zack Zedalis
Had one of the best ribeyes I've ever had at Halls last night. One of those meals where you just keep eating even when you are full because you know it doesn't get any better.
Hanging out at the breweries and eating the brisket would definitely be a worthwhile Saturday day trip imo
I ate at cumberland smokehouse and south end smokehouse last week thought both were solid but liked Cumberland a little better.
Fig last night and pavilion rooftop. Maccradys tonight and vendue. May hit stars and minero later or lunch tomorrow.
Did last week when down for work. Solid. Can't wait for them to open on johns is. Doing a project there too. Appreciate the rec on pavilion. Great sunset and lots of bachelorette parties in various states of fucked up.
If anyone has eaten from the local creole food truck, they just signed a lease up open a full restaurant in Park circle. Real good food
Creole truck guy had a tooth ache a few years ago and I pulled it. He still owes me a lunch for that.
Gonna be in Charleston next week - I'm getting married there in Sept, and my fiancé wanted to show me around the city as well check out some of the spots where we'll have our wedding events. I've never been before, we're staying downtown at the Francis Marion: I need some recs on places to drink, shop, and are generally cool/interesting. I don't want her completely in charge of our agenda.
Drink: stars, closed for business, beer works, Edmunds oast, coast, revelry brewing, big johns, market Pavilion, Vendue rooftop, the griffon, fleet landing, moes Walk market Street, lower king for shopping Walk the battery/waterfront park All sorts of old historical shit on like every corner. How much time do you have/what kind of meals do you still need places for?
just got a text from my mom - reservations at Edmund's Oast this saturday. boat day on Sunday. can't wait to be back.
Going to be in Charleston June 4th-8th. Looking for any must eat restaurants that I would have to make a reservation for now. We are down for any type of food/setting (with the exception of fine dining, we aint trying to be all proper and ish), we just want damn good Charleston grub. Going with the gf, this will be my 4th trip and her 1st. I've done SNOB, Cru Cafe, Hominy Grill, and some others I can't remember. Planning on doing that Revelry Brewing and brisket thing on Saturday. Arkadin you mentioned a while back some kind of oyster special on Sundays (I think), is that still going on? Where is it?
Nah oysters are out of season in june so that's done Go to tattooed moose, obstinate daughter, husk, 167 raw, Martha lous, coast, fuel, closed for business, Lee lee's, xiao bad, butcher and bee, home team bbq, poes, Finz. Don't need reservations for any of those sans husk which is most assuredly booked up, but if you show up when they open for lunch you'll be fine Make reservations at like halls, fig, fat hen (if you're willing to go to johns island for this one, it's worth it. My favorite place currently)
Same for me. Quite excited. That Créole food truck comes to my complex every couple of weeks. Those praline beignets are insane. Off to Kiawah for the weekend. Eating the Master Purveyor's Dry-Aged Bone-In Rib-Eye at the Ocean Room tomorrow night. Has the possibility of being the best meal of my life.
Don't live in North Charleston. I lived on the Peninsula for 3.5 years and would definitely recommend that if you're single in your mid-20s. I lived around upper King Street. The Peninsula can definitely get pricey but sometimes you can find some solid deals, especially as you get closer to the Crossway. On the other side of the Crossway, there are decent neighborhoods to live in too. If money is an issue, and particularly if you don't have roommates, the Peninsula might be off the table, in which case West Ashley will probably be your best bet.
What's everybody doing today? We boated out to Reds on Bohicket, and now we found some remote island to party on, about a mile from Seabrook.
