Kyrie did not look good tonight. We need him to be better because JR isn't going to do that every game.
Unless he heals quickly, I would consider sitting kyrie the rest of the series or until he's fully recovered. He's a spot up shooter on offense and a disaster on defense. It's probably easier to hide him now with Carroll out, but he's still a problem on that end. at the very least, he needs a severely reduced role. There's no point in him playing hurt if he's going to be a liability on the floor. And we're going to need him at or at least close to 100% to have a shot against the west rep.
I don't think Kyrie is going to be back to 100% until he has several weeks or months to heal. You have to run him out there each night to see what he has and adjust his minutes accordingly. I still think he has a handful of 20 point games left in him this year on nights his knee loosens up.
Pleased with the win obviously. Really concerned that JR is the only person that can hit 3s. I don't understand if James Jones is so fucking cold why not give Mike Miller a shot?
4 hours from Game 2. Couldn't watch Game 1 and forgot to DVR it, my "friend" report looks a lot different than the TMB report.
We played pretty well considering Kyrie didn't do much. Jr obviously went off and we got lazy with a big lead. I think if Kyrie was anything close to normal we'd sweep and have a chance in the finals but he's not even close.
TMB: Kyrie's an absolute wreck out there, just sit him until he's healthy Friends: Kyrie's a warrior out there, doesn't have the step and needs some defensive help, but played 25-30 hard minutes that we needed TMB: JR Smith ain't going 10-16 again... Friends: JJ, Delly, and Shump ain't going 1-16 again... TMB: We got lazy down the stretch, can't happen again. Friends: We knew the ATL run was coming down the stretch and we got out with a W
Giving atl credit for making it close at the end is not entirely true. We locked it up and played lazy hero ball for about 8 minutes
I don't think I'd say Kyrie played poorly, he just looked like his injury is more serious than we thought.
How long have your friends been Cleveland sports fans? They don't sound nearly jaded enough for long term.
Mid 20s, all grew up in Cleveland. I think we're all so jaded we've finally come full circle and became un-jaded by brainwashing ourselves into thinking this is finally the time where we won't get our nuts crushed.
I'd say TMB is closer to correct than your friend on point 1. Both are probably right on point 2 Corch is right on point 3
How fucking Cleveland is it for this team to be hitting it's stride and then two of it's best players get hurt in the playoffs. Fuck me.
I'd be a little surprised if he plays in the rest of the ECF to be honest. How often does a player make an immediate appointment to see Dr. James Andrews and comes back right away?
Eh, disagree. Think this is the type of injury that would shut him down 4-6 weeks in season and he's essentially re-testing it every 2 days.
Holy shit - Carroll is suiting up tonight. Was walking like a fucking gimp into the locker room, LeBron has to attack him like crazy tonight.
Watching Korver attempt to do anything besides shoot 3's on a basketball court is pretty hilarious if you're not a Hawks fan.
Glad LBJ is 2-3 on jumpers, but they are assisting so hard on him that if he drives and kicks, we should get an open shot almost every possession.
