Mine was a former German Chancellor by the name of Helmut Schmidt and unfortunately he spoke for over 40 minutes (per some internet research of mine today) and my only memory of it was my massive hangover and how hot it was that late Saturday morning in early May in Houston.
I slept through mine because I was out until 4am the night before. I couldn't tell you who is was or what was talked about. I had pizza stains on my shirt and pants because I was late and just tossed on my gown overtop of the clothes I wore the night previous. My family was unimpressed.
My commencement speaker was the President of Ohio University, Fall Quarter 1994. I wore a Santa hat on top of my Graduation cap, and got my picture in the Dispatch.
I just went back to look for my commencement video on the ole BGSU.edu website. I then realized I have no clue if I graduated in the Winter, Spring, or Summer of 2009. So, that's something.
When one of my roommates graduated in Spring, I was coming home as they were leaving, having stayed out until 3:00 AM and stayed at my girlfriend’s house. They also were unimpressed.
From what I've heard the body of this tweet is incorrect...and very few people knew someone had jumped/died. But, that doesn't make the video any less cringe....

Has anyone or their parents had hip replacements? My wife is going in Friday for her first one then 7 weeks later for the next. Heard it’s much easier recovery than the knee but still freaking out because she’s a type 1 diabetic and her blood sugars are all over. They go in through the anterior so I’ve heard much better than previously? Anyways this should be an interesting summer..
Don’t really know anyone closely that has had a hip replacement but if it is easier than a knee replacement it shouldn’t be that bad
Also glad that I live in Dallas and no longer Dayton. The surgeon works with the Dallas Cowboys as opposed to the Dayton Bombers
