Behind the Bastards did 6 episodes on Vince and barely scratched the surface. They also spent way too much time on background stuff that didn't relate to Vince at all.
Toni Storm is just on a whole another level than pretty much any woman in the business on the mic currently
Imagine devoting weeks of storyline and tv time about a guy being so injured that he will more than likely never wrestle again and the one day he shows up. That would be printing money if done right and then you remember that AEW is doing this with Chuck fucking Taylor.
Anarchy in the Arena is going to be a fun shitshow at DoN, which I assume will help set up Danielson/Okada 3
I’m interested to see Okada in a plunder match. That is way out of his element since that’s like a once a generation type match for New Japan. The cage match they had between Bullet Club and United Empire earlier this year was New Japan’s first cage match in like 20 years.
Someone is going to turn heel in that Anarchy match, either Kingston or Danielson. It's going to be heartbreaking and awesome (Fun show tonight)
Danielson would be the most shocking because that guy basically bleeds AEW. I wonder if we see Hangman return during it. He has a decision to make since the Young Bucks suspended him from the Elite. Given he was a heel with seemingly no intention of turning face when he last appeared, there’s really no telling what he’ll do.
He bought usage rights IIRC, which anyone can do if they are able to come to an agreement on fees, not the actual song.
Like, there are plenty of idiots on Twitter. I don't get how the wrestlers constantly find these tweets from randoms to comment on. Acknowledging them with the response is probably what they want. I don't get why you can't just ignore the random accounts and feel a need to respond.
I will gladly ogle and comment (only affirmations) on the women in wrestling behind the anonymity of my keyboard. But cat calling in person is super gross. I don't know about Skye Blue, but I can only imagine the stuff that Paige has heard at live events and online.
I saw that tweet early today when Skye Blue was trending. it was at the top of the page. it was basically being amplified because it probably got a ton of engagement.
think my favorite was when (I think on uudd) he and Paige ended up in a provocative position while playing twister and he quips "this looks familiar" as they both start giggling he's the best
Probably because Meltzer in insane and seemingly replies to every person who replies to or tweets at him. If enough of the tweets involve the same thing he'll show up as trending. Plus the trending pages are curated to what Twitter deems are your interests.
I remember the Lil Naitch segments on Nitro, but I have no memory of Charles Robinson putting on a carbon copy Ric Flair match and actually pulling all the spots off seamlessly. Probably bc my parents never bought the ppvs back in the day. But this was great stuff.
Crazy that you can hear the woos in the crowd when they chop, even as far back as 1999. It's not as universal as today, but still, that's a long time ago. Flair was still a regular performer. When did that start?
New Japan wrestler. His gimmick is being an unfiltered, brash, loud-mouth asshole and he is quite good at it.
And just as I posted that Fightful dropped more in depth news on Chuckie T Sucks for Chuck, at least he got to have his retirement match be the Best Friends signature match.
Also, Fightful says Yuta has been out for months dealing with a concussion with no time table for when he can possibly return And Guevara no longer suspended if you want to believe Dave
Why was it dumb to ask if the guy that was pulled from TV and fired shortly after the Ronda news came out? Those are the types of questions that should be getting asked of leadership, not softball questions like if Taylor Swift is going to wrestle. If this was the NFL, NBA, etc., those serious questions are the exact type of questions they’d be getting asked.
WWE and UFC want to be covered by mainstream media but absolutely meltdown in the face of any scrutiny that comes with any criticism. See Endeavor/Dana ripping credentials away from Ariel Helwani and Bloody Elbow for being critical of UFC.
Like if you want to hold media pressers like a sports league does then either let real questions be asked, put people behind the mic that know how to properly handle themselves, or don’t host a sham presser to just relate yourself And no this isn’t me going after WWE. TK is equally as dismissive, though he takes a less antagonistic path, by ignoring the questions and babbling on about whatever it was he had planned to talk about. Or addressing serious questions with zero self-awareness looking like a fucking clown with giant sunglasses and a fuzzy hat. And this isn’t limited to just pressers for TK. He does the same in media interviews too regardless of what the topic of the question is. He seemingly goes in there with scripts about what he wants to talk about and if the question isn’t friendly and/or doesn’t fit in his script then he’ll just ignore it and just pick up where he left off on the script. Neither company should trotting out leadership that have egregiously displayed live for the entire world to see they haven’t learned a single thing from whatever media/PR training they’ve gone thru if they’ve even had that training.
the second part of this tweet doesn’t make sense about Maliki and Miro but agree on Brody and Takeshita
I guess people think Malakai is winning the TNT title at Double or Nothing, which is what I am also guessing will happen Miro hasn’t gotten a real push in what like 2 to 3 years?
