Best quality of the oats tenure is trying to schedule every single good team as much as he can. There's really no downside imo.
I’ve looked like Debo on the range pre round only to go out and stripe everything. I’ve also looked like a damn king on the range only to go out and shoot 92
Softball team can’t hit. LSU had the same pitcher in all game 180+ pitches and 6 times through the order and we just look lost.
Been the story for awhile. Feels like we haven't hit well in the last 3-4 years and that's really been the difference.
Belated congrats on landing big Cliff tide fans. He’s a great kid and plays his heart out every game. I think adding him makes the Tide the prohibitive SEC-favorite and legit title contender. As long as he sticks to what he is great at- rim protection, rebounding and running the floor at both ends, I think you got a real gem. We tried to get him to expand his offensive game both in the post and perimeter, but he just never really developed in those areas. But with the way you guys play I doubt Oats is going to have him try to stretch the court on offense (saw Nelson is coming back and he already provides that) or post up on the block and play back to the basket- basically no one outside of the B1G plays like that anymore. Hopefully we get to see an RU Bama match up in this NIL tourney in Vegas.
If he can just be a rim protector, rebound, and get his offensive touches cleaning up, he’s exactly what we need.
Those are literally the three areas he most excels in. He’s also a pretty good perimeter defender on switches (for a guy whose 6’10, 240).
Wonder if we see us go back to some drop coverage with Cliff or if we stay switching and hedging. I prefer the second because I feel it’s more disruptive but I’d imagine we will get a blend of the two.
