This WF card is only 3% BT fee & has intro $200 offer if you spend $500. Spoiler https://creditcards.wellsfargo.com/...AFF&siteID=SWlnSnn6x54-9pSgLM03wYRtulSIdL9E6w
These Ink Business Cash cards have been a gold mine. 90k signup bonus and 40k referral means a constant 130k point for the wife and I as we refer each other back and forth.
I used to do this, but they jacked their threshold up to 15k. I see it's back down and at 8k over 3 months? That's doable. Might have to get back on this wagon Do you transfer them back to a CSP? I let mine go. Not sure if they still have the bonus Chase Points
The 8k for 100k points is the ink business preferred. They’ve got an ink cash for 90k points for only 6k spend and it’s a 0% intro rate. I then transfer them to my ink business preferred to transfer them to Hyatt or United.
Oh and Amex points has a 30% bonus transfer to Hilton right now. Just transferred all my points over since I’m getting ready to cancel my Platinum.
They do but if you have EINs you can get more. We have legit businesses so we have EINs but anyone can register for them whether you have a legit business or not.
Oddly enough I got a CIP for both me and the wife before we had an actual business, and now that we do I got rejected.
Booked biz AF for 2 between SFO and CDG for next fall using the Amex transfer bonus to Virgin. Only out 120k and about $300 for the cdg penalty.
Yea definitely feel like I got lucky. I honestly wasn't that sold on the product (the s.o. and I prefer being closer together than this cabin affords) but a west coast TATL route for only 60k each (after that transfer bonus, and granted the taxes and fees bleh) ...had to do it. Tentatively got us the bulkhead too (big ol ottoman instead of footwell) and looking forward to the renovated SFO lounge.
2024 Amex Referrals Personals quite a bit lower than last year to start the year Business Gold: 130k pts (never seen it this high, I only got 110) Business Plat: 120k Personal Gold: 60k Personal Plat: 80k Business Delta Plat: 70k miles Lmk if interested
What’s the best sign up bonus overall right now? (Don’t care about spend, just highest points/dollar value) seems like the game has largely shifted to business cards?
Might be making a couple of furniture purchases soon. GF was looking for any cards with a spend bonus that might result in some travel rewards. Anything out there or a site to find these at?
Didn’t realize that you couldn’t get a SUB for an AMEX card if you're had one (not sure if recently or ever). Dumping the Delta Amex Platinum and needed another daily card and was going to pair the Gold with the Platinum I already have but no SUB makes that a bit less appealing. Decided to give the Venture X a whirl instead.
I THINK that's a new rule that allows you to move up, but not down. So if you had a Gold SUB, you can get a Platinum SUB...but not vice versa. https://frequentmiler.com/amex-family-language-is-it-time-to-grab-cards-while-you-still-can/
Is there anyone on the board experience with credit card reward points transfers? I have hyatt and southwest points the flights to Portland are not great so was hoping to maybe find a way to xfer points. Looks like American has better options from Jax to Portland but not sure best way to go about it
Pharm your options are limited if you are only working with those two points currencies. Hyatt transfers to AAdvantage, but the ratio is 5:2 and the value is pretty weak as a result. Your Soutwest points transfer only to hotels, not other airlines (one of the downsides of them not having partners and/or an alliance.) If you had one of the currencies tied to Amex, Chase, Capital One, or Citi you could transfer them to one of the AA oneworld partners in order to book - BA, Finnair, Iberia, Cathay - but you'd definitely want to confirm the award availability with said partner first.
Thanks. I have had these cards for years. I don’t use them near enough. Wouldn’t mind finding a better well rounded option. I got the southwest compainion pass and then wife got pregnant and covid so we never used it.
About to book an airbnb stay and trying to max out some points. Anyone bought gift cards at a grocery store on a Amex Gold to get 5x points? Can I just do it online and the kroger check out will hit just like normal or should I physically go into the store. Seems like a no brainer to get 20k points vs 4,000
In person should totally work. If you do a dummy test purchase online you can check your statement (eventually) and see if it codes properly before you commit... that said I think there are data points out there suggesting it works if you search a little
Amex Plat has a few deals right now that are decent. 10k MR points if you add an Authorized user and they spend 2k in 6 months 7k MR points if spend 13.5k by EOY. You can use this 3x Pretty straight forward if you use this as an everyday spender or put stuff on it
What's everyone doing for CC this year? Anyone changing strategies or adjusting? Goals: Pretty much solely for Delta Miles redemptions. I know it isn't the best value, but I don't stay in Hotels, everywhere I fly is direct on delta. Current Cards are all Amex: Delta Plat: Keeping for MQDs to silver and Companion pass Amex Plat: AF in June. Probably not gonna re-up on this. Might try for a retention benefit. Amex Gold: Daily Card and the Grocery/Restaurant multiple is pretty solid Thinking of opening my business back up and start churning the hell out of some Chase Business Ink Preferred with the hopes of taking a vacation with just my wife. Do lie flat to Tahiti or Fiji or something then try to stack some hotel cards on top of it. Feel like I could get a new card every ~6 weeks and rack up a million points over the course of a year.
What do you get from the business cards besides the 2500 booster? I don't know if I fly enough domestically to get the most out of a companion pass to have another Delta card to try and get to Gold.
I've had my Sapphire Preferred for 50 months so I'm due for another bonus but I'm going through home loan pre-approval so it'll have to wait a bit.
Speaking of Delta, I'm not getting much value from my Amex Gold Delta Skymiles card. Started in 2012 when I was traveling a ton on Delta for work, now with kids I don't fly anymore and the perks aren't good enough to retain it for another year. Should I call and ask for the Amex Delta Blue? Any drawbacks I'm not thinking of? I'm focusing on cash back with my other cards.

GoodForAnother pianoman Afro the signup bonus, is it $900 cash you get back or 90k points? I’ve seen both. I would usually be able to figure this out quickly myself but 2 kids at home this week is killing me
It’s 90,000 points that can either be turned into $900 cash or if you have any type of sapphire product you can transfer them or use chases travel portal
Got a mailer, going to try for another CIP but it's been a while. Under income, do you guys put your total actual income from all sources or just what you expect for the business?
