I’m very happy with our trade deadline deals. We got a lot better defensively (and maybe overall). Edit: And younger (with an even better cap situation)

Look, no one knows what happened yet, but I find it hard to believe Stew just decoded to go punch this dude for no reason....
Pistons beat holding Troys jock and selling the deadline to Pistons fans : these moves free up minutes and time for the young core to get more minutes and feature more Monty : 31 year old Evan Fournier is his first guy off the bench now
Looks like whole team played terrible, but Wiseman stat line is kind of funny 9 min 0 pt 1 reb 0 ast 5 fouls 2 turnovers -25
Apparently the box score I looked at last night wasn't completely updated His final line was 12 min 3 pt 2 reb 0 ast 6 fouls 2 to -28 So he finished strong only going -3 over his final 3 minutes before fouling out
This is really not ideal. I’ve wondered most of the season if lingering injuries are causing some of Cade’s performance woes.
Cade is injured a lot and leads to inconsistent performances Coach has no confidence in Ivey and no matter how well he plays, he gets his minutes pulled the first sign of struggle Stew punches people Ausar can't shoot jump shots(although it's been better lately) Duren can't defend the post Our bench players/role players generally suck and the young ones get minutes pulled for old guys who won't be on team next year Our coach doesn't know how to run a rotation and loves playing shit players Our GM has assembled a horrible roster Our owner is cokehead who makes money off people incarcerated and doesn't know shit This has to be the worst franchise in pro sports at the moment
Watching Haliburton doing an interview on how shocked he was Detroit passed on him and how he wanted to play there a week after cutting Killian and then seeing him drop 32 in the all star game should get everyone fired... Rooting for the Pacers to make the 2nd rd so this bag holder can be ripped on even more
I’ve heard some rumors that the franchise had settled on Killian before weaver was even hired. I have no idea how true it is but there has been one constant with the bad decisions since 2015. Arn Tellem needs to go
These mock drafts suck because this draft sucks. Only guy who is remotely interesting to me at the moment among the projected top 5-7 guys is Zaccharie Risacher, and his ceiling is significantly lower than most top overall guys. Everyone else either sucks and wouldn't fit into this dumpster fire of a roster.
I was just looking at this and it all definitely hinges on what Cade actually is. Reed Sheppard could play next to Ivey. Cody Williams and Ron Holland are possibilities. Matas Buzelis has slipped but still projects. But none look like perennial all stars at this point. Are Cade’s struggles spacing or injuries or is he just not efficient?
Just being realistic about it, the person we're taking wherever we pick either has to be better than Ivey or Cade, or they have to be able to shoot at a legitimately high level in order to play around them + Duren. Buzelis seems to be coming on a bit and is kind of intriguing. He'd probably be my second guy after Risacher and probably has a higher ceiling than Risacher. But he's shooting 26% from 3 this year with Ignite. ESPN has us taking Alex Sarr at #2 today in its mock and that seems like a nightmare scenario for us and Sarr.
Reed Sheppard is shooting 54% from the college 3 line. If we stop the Cade PG experiment and move him to the wing, start Sheppard or Sasser with the other off the bench as a microwave scorer. We will end up with Sarr though, because who needs shooters
Sheppard is going to be a solid/good NBA player. And we could do a lot worse in this draft as far as fits. It's just hard for me to see him as a top 5 pick.
How I feel about him as a top5 will definitely be impacted by measurements. He’s listed at 6’3 but if he’s really 6’1 that’s iffy. It’s not a great draft and we’ve definitely picked worse players as high as 7 recently
People have forgotten about Isaiah Collier, but I think he's going to be a superstar. Go watch his last game against Colorado. Very physical, good playmaking skills and shockingly good defense
That's a two way contract like flushing a toilet is a two way contract: if it isn't only going down, something is wrong.
Lol Monty gave a statement that he's done experimenting with roster rotations and matchups and is going to stick to competitive lineups. First game since (I'm not watching) but look at boxscore and see he's used 11 players 15 minutes into game
I see Cade is a +3 in a game we are losing by 20+. Appears the new rotation guys we traded for just as shit ad the ones we traded away. Troy Brown is a -18 in only 5 minutes
I think Monty seems to be on the way out, and blaming Monty is the beats new way to keep pressure off Weaver. They are openly criticizing Monty now, but still laying off Troy for some reason
There is a definite difference between beat writers and columnists, but beat writers also shouldn't be company men or cheerleaders for certain players like they guys are, either.
And to be fair I don't have a problem with Omari, he does seem to be a report what's going on guy and I don't think he spews out the company motto like Jam3s or cheerleads for guys much that I've seen
Monty is terrible, but way too much of the outrage right now is on him, and Weaver is getting away pretty damn light still for the shit job hes done
