Good news - the team is 17-13 at the end of April with a prorated season win total of 91-92 games at this winning percentage. Bad news - I don't know how reputable this site is, but it's saying the Tigers played the 28th toughest schedule so far, and has the 12th hardest schedule remaining. It's cool to be in the race, but I only think we stay in the race if the Guardians and Royals come back to earth. The good news is those team seem very likely to also be overachieving. Starting pitcher match-up of Mikolas vs. Maeda is about as crafty as it gets. Feels like I'm watching a 1980's pitching match-up. Too bad seeing the Cardinals is World Series failures nightmare fuel. Vierling comes through against his hometown team with a two-run bomb. And Tork even gets a hit!
Getting 7 innings from Maeda would be huge after having to use so many arms yesterday in the double header.

Dillon Dingler - I'm sick of looking up this guy's stats every week, so I will go ahead now and declare him a BUST, so I don't have to do it moving forward. Cristian Santana - One of the top international prospects from a few years back is hitting .167 on the season. Although that may be good enough to get regular playing time on the MLB roster, he definitely not living up to the hype in the minors. Scott Harris - Mr. Smartest Guy in the Room, didn't want to add any bats in the season, because he didn't want to block all the all-star caliber young players we have on the roster (Torkelbust, Keith, Meadows, Vierling). How's that working out for ya? Max Clark (Tik Tok Boy) - Tik Tok Boy cooling off after that nice week he had but falling down the bust ranking list. Roberto Campos - Is the guy the Tigers gave a team record international signing bonus to (and wasn't even ranked a top 30 international prospect) starting to turn a corner? Absolutely not. He sucks ass.
Feel like most AB with Tork are watch a hittable pitch for a strike. Take a tough strike call on the corner, watch a pitch or two way out of the zone before striking out swinging at a pitch just outside the zone. Also there is a big sports show in June and each player to sign something is Tork $99 Greene $99 Skubal $79 Carpenter $59 Why is Tork more expensive than the rest and who is going to pay that to get his autograph the way he's playing?
I don't get why it hasn't been done already. Even if you don't want to call him out publicly you can just claim he needs some time to work out his swing and get his mind right or whatever PR statement you want to make
Tork is in his own head. An extended benching or a trip down to aaa to hopefully clear his head seems obvious over continuing to trot him out to play like this and get even further in his own head. He's never been 1.1 live up to his hype good, but this is awful even for him
