Did you not see where I said that I don't like Alexis up front by himself? I'll admit I don't follow Liverpool as close as you but it seemed to me that Liverpools starting XI was a lot closer to what we can expect to see for the rest of the season.
Wasn't really injuries, players not being ready from the Euros killed us and not sure why Santi or Xhaka didn't start today. Don't really wanna make excuses for that shit though, inexcusable how unprepared we are for every season.
Actually happy about our CB injuries if it means we get Mustafi, 1 game of Holding and Chambers is a small price to pay.

We were missing a GK, 2 CBs, Sturridge, and Milner all because of injury. I think you are right in saying you can't judge Arsenal but I think it's unfair to judge us as well.
I would say 4 starters were out for Liverpool...Karius, Sakho, Milner and Sturridge. Sakho is at odds with Klopp so maybe he won't be a starter this season or could be on way out...but the other 3 are starters for sure
The point is probably that those four guys are all pants compared to the guys Arsenal was missing either through EURO fatigue or Wenger's general incompetence.
Meh, idk about that. Tough players out for Arsenal, but Sakho was Liverpools best defender before the suspension last season, Sturridge can be class when healthy (huge when) and Milner has been playing at LB over Moreno, so not so much Milner, but more getting Moreno the fuck out of the game would have been huge too. As Gary Neville said "You might as well start a goal down with Moreno at left-back". Not sure Karius would have made a difference. Emre Can fully fit and playing over Henderson too is another upgrade. He has Euro fatigue too.

All the way down to the goalie taking a huge jump the wrong way before diving back the other way and coming up short.
Costa absolutely should have been sent off after assaulting the GK and Kante was somewhat fortunate as well after that tackle against Payet, IMO.
