Im pretty sure they write idiotic plot holes into these movies just to fuck with miserable people like audrew.
I'm just an out of favor college professor. I'm relegated to this basement office that is 900 square feet. I guess now I'm in charge of the US Navy, but I'm afraid of the gigantic ape, we've got chains on some manner of ship. We need him, for I seek the power at the center of the earth, to kill Godzilla. *Godzilla sinks half the pacific fleet "Admiral, turn everything off" * *The admiral listens to me, and then I go with my crew and the Billionaire's daughter and the big ape to the center of the earth to save the human race.
Movie was great but it could have been even better with a nu metal soundtrack. Just imagine “When Worlds Collide” playing during that final battle.
need a Gigan movie accompanied by an alien invasion. Gigan is the champion of the aliens sent to destroy the titans. human characters fighting alongside Godzilla, Kong, etc. against the invaders - who are more traditionally sized. make the human focused portions more interesting because they are all fighting an extraterrestrial invasion. pay me some money, Legendary.
I don’t. I’m pretty sure Max Borenstein thinks he’s a genius for creating the Monsterverse, when in reality he’s just taken other creators IP and added CGI and his mediocre writing.
This is the shit I’m talking about. “Oh you want plots to make basic sense? Take that shit to Cannes, ya snob!”
lol dude it's a movie about monsters fighting each other critiquing it like you would Sound of Metal is absurd is it not possible for you to turn your brain off for 2hrs and watch 2 monsters battle it out?
I hear you saying that, but what it really needed was some dubstep. A bass drop or two and hearing "someone dial 911!" kept this from being the next Citizen Kane.
There were 3 monsters. The monster of mankind's blind ambition and greed was represented by the avatar of mechagodzilla.
I enjoyed it even though the dialogue in the last two has been really bad, even for a movie where I’m trying to ignore it. Best plot hole was Godzilla blasting a hole into Hollow Earth that somehow Kong climbed out of and did so WELL before the ship carrying the humans . Didn’t they say they’d travel like 1,000 miles in 2 seconds when they entered Hollow Earth? Also laughed at the daughter/father somehow stumbling across each other in HK at the end. Also “this boat isn’t going to work so let’s just unroll the big hammock, toss Kong in there and fly for 40 hours”. Love it.
The ability to find things and people in a wasteland is just building on the lore of KOTM found a laptop sized orca device in ground zero boston in under 2 minutes
Liked the action but needed more of it. I wonder how much cash Kyle Chandler got for 30 seconds of screen time and like 16 words.
Lance Reddick has, I believe, two lines total and probably has 45 minutes of dialogue on a cutting room somewhere. Just wild how inefficiently this thing must have gotten made.
probably about 20% more to double than what he was paid for the last film. Sequels clearly built into the contracts and those are negotiated before the first film
I turned this off right before the Hong Kong fight. I couldn’t take it anymore. Most disjointed thing I’ve watched in a long time.
Maybe that’s the silhouette in the background you can barely see. Kinda disappointing if true. The best they could come up with was another giant ape. I’ll still watch tho.
Other than the plots, the last two have been entertaining. Even Shin was a little off in plot since the main theme was just about ineffective Japanese bureaucracy.
Ummmm, if we get rid of the human plot, how will we find out the resolution of the inner secret world that a giant spacecraft can’t reach but a giant gorilla can because of…gravity?!?!
I ordered this back in Jan 2021 and just came in. I have no idea where to put it. https://www.spiral-studio.co/product-page/burning-godzilla-statue-standard-edition
