Guadeloupe has alot of players who play in the French league, they usually have a decent showing in the Gold Cup, i think they made the semis in 2007 and gave Mexico all they could handle in the 07 semis 1-0.....i dont think we will thrash them 5-0 or anything, but definitely should win that game by a couple of goals

Yeah if Guadeloupe wasnt part of France and kept players like Henry and Gallas playing for them, they would be one of the better teams in this region......they have some great athletes that France reaps the rewards....i dont see why they wont play at Confed Cup if they won, they just cant go to WC........and who knows why they are allowed to play?

 

I thought I heard in a preview video they are allowed to play in the gold cup but won't be allowed to go the the confed cup if they win. Might have been the WC though I may have heard wrong

no your totally right they are of Guadeloupe decent but not born there (Henry's dad is from there)....Saha is also Guad decent as well......Lilian Thuram and Ronald Zubar are actually from Guadeloupe.
