J-Love is the man MLF is the man as both coach and play-caller Reed/Wicks/Musgrave/Kraft/Watson (and maybe Doubs) is a crazy nice pass-catching corps LT, LG, and RT are all good moving forward D-line is kinda nasty right now. Brooks and Wyatt have been balling this year (the other guys are too, just didn't expect balling from these two) Quay is solid maybe? Though I think he and Dre get blended by Shanny next week. But that happens to everyone but like 3 ILBs. Willing to give Anders another year but that's probably it. Ja is a great character, glad to see him make a play Preston was dog tired late in the game, hands on hips after every play, and he still makes that sack at the end of the game. What a pro. What a game to kick-start the next phase of this franchise. I think the O can be pretty good against SF but I think Kyle Shanahan's going to put the defense in the deep-fryer, likely ending Joe Barry's Packers career. (not a bad thing) "Musgrave stays on his feet!" is the funniest line MLF ever had. Great team reaction to it too.
Think everybody sees the ceiling of Reed, Watson, Wicks and imagine what could be. Doubs is going to be around for at least 2 more years because he has a high floor. He won’t be a superstar but he has really strong hands and is a safety net. Dude is a 50-60 catches a year, great for fades and 5-6 touchdowns a year guy. James Jones with better hands. I think he is a perfect compliment to the other guys we have. Almost every team in the NFL would love to have a Doubs as their potential 4th option but has the ability to burn even a #1 corner time-to-time.
it’s weird he does make some awesome catches and then will whiff on easy ones. Like you said though, if he’s the 3rd or 4th WR in that room, that’s pretty solid.
what’s funny is the Bears didn’t technically outbid the Packers, both offered second round picks. But the Steelers weighed the options and came to an easy assessment that the Bears would be worse and the draft pick would be higher
1) win close we rejoice 2) lose close in a shootout and Barry is fired? Ok 3) get blown out but Barry gone? Fine 4) lose 7-3 and keep Barry and that would be a nut kick
he may have a big hog but Brock’s got small hands Four quarters in the rain? I’m starting to get ideas If the o-line is gonna play like they did on the first drive, we’ve got a fricking chance
Happy with the start. We can open some lanes and keep Love in short situations. Just worried about their skill guys in this condition, fully expect at least one secondary slip.
Tucker Kraft is awesome he is way better than I expected right away. He’s a perfect pairing with Musgrave too.
Always comes down to the fact that against SF we always get FGs and not TDs. Tonight is no different.
I like how they are crediting the drive to the clear DPI but ignore the clear uncalled facemask that would’ve been 15 yards and negate the 3rd and 15.
Obviously bad but Tucker Kraft’s effort sheesh Dre Greenlaw is athletic as hell so preventing 7 was big there
