We know what Henne is and he sucks. Bortles will at least occasionally flash. I was up for signing Kaep too Duval until I saw the crowd this Sunday. Nice weather. 4 pm start and it was empty. I had heard of a lot of folks getting refunds on their season tickets (evidently the Jags are refunding season ticket holders) but I did not think it would noticeably affect attendance. Not sure if that was the cause or not for the poor attendance Sunday, but signing Kaep would be a bad idea imo.
The rams game was the lowest attendance for a home game in the Kahn era. If you're trying to top that, go ahead and sign "Kap"

What my Jags ticket guy has told me. They've received a ton of calls evidently from people saying they will stop going to games if we sign Kaep. Again, I figured a lot of that shit was just talk until yesterday.
So you think people didn't go yesterday bc there's a slim chance the Jags sign Kaep? I don't see how else yesterday would be relevant. And I have no doubt they've gotten calls. The minority can often be vocal. They can't make such a decision based off some phone calls though. Overall, I tend to think more people would show up to see a 10-6 Jags team with Kaep at QB than a 6-10 team with Bortles. Maybe I'm underestimating the amount of racists with the expendable income to attend NFL games though?
No, there is a good possibility they didn't go because of the anthem protest. And let's stop this BS argument that all of these folks are racist. I know you love to paint with a broad brush but there are people who actually feel strong enough about the national anthem to skip football games.

Those same people are ok with cops changing the colors for the blue line. So excuse if I look last the kneeling of the flag to why they are kneeling as the root of their displeasure. Bortles doesn't give you a glimmer of hope, just stop with that. He had multiple chances to win the jets and rams games and he shit the bed, like he always does. A decade of losing has much more to do with subpar attendance more than anything. Most of these armchair patriots would attend games if they did anything to fix the offense. We're wasting an elite defense and a great rookie season from Fournette, and that blows.

You know I agree that Bortles is garbage. I think a lot of people forget just how bad Henne is. Like I said, I don't know if the small crowd resulted from anthem protests, but anecdotally the protests are affecting attendance. Ran into a buddy of mine yesterday who is the CFO of a small business. The owner has had west club tix since the beginning. He and several of his friends got refunds. My pediatrician growing up, who is the furthest thing from racist by the way, gave up his tickets as well.

And the letters reads as an apology for standing the God Save the Queen, not for kneeling for the anthem. The letters reads as if the military was upset over the standing for one and not the other. But I'm sure you have a friend that's former military and he was upset so that means all of the military was.
