wtf is Rooney constantly bitching about? That looked like it hit off of Lescott's leg, not close to a handball at all.
I'm just glad I got my wish and the refs did a good job not affecting the match too heavily. Oh, and I'm glad cause... Spoiler CITY WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If City holds on and wins this I want you all to remember who was there the night things turned around. Have really enjoyed following along, I knew I would for the rest of this season, have some knowledge but not much and may try to pay attention when next season rolls around as well. Can someone explain to someone who doesn't know much how things work with the Champions League, when does that take place?
What is it you want to know exactly? The format of Champions League play or the rules/requirements for getting to play?
I understand that the top 3 teams from Premier League get in and a 4th qualifies but when does it take place? Is it all European leagues get in? I guess I could just look it all up just wanted to ask people here
See, here's where it gets tricky. It's four teams but I believe in this year's case, if Chelsea were to win the Champions League final against Bayern and not finish in the top 4 in the Premiere League, they would still be able to play next in next season's Champions League and whoever finishes 4th in the EPL would not get to go. Like I said, shit is tricky but I believe that's correct.
Different European League's get different amount of entrants based on a co-efficient of strength for each league that's calculated every year. Qualification starts in June-July, Groups start in September, KOs start in February, and the Final is usually towards the end of May.
Thanks to both of you. So by finishing in the top 3 City plays in the qualifications in June-July? Then if they do well enough they'd advance to groups in September? And reading up I caught that there are 8 groups and the winner and runner ups go to the KO stage correct?
Ok thanks that is the part where I was getting confused. So if Chelsea wins the Champions league final vs Bayern but doesn't finish top 4 in Premier league they go to the Champions league with Man City, Man U and Arsenal and say Tottenham wouldn't? Would Chelsea go straight to group stage also?
Nike taking over the kit starting in 2013. http://mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/2012/May/Manchester-City-announce-Nike-kit-partnership
Hey guys, would appreciate a raping of Newcastle this weekend. Since it was my pulling for you that led to winning the Manchester Derby I think that is only fair.
