Kid’s insanely strong. Him and CJ are our future for the men. Women are farrrrrrrr out-performing the men on the international stage.
First US senior world record since the 60s. Still lost by 9 kilos bc Li Dayin snatches like 2.5x bodyweight, should be right there for silver come summer Olivia Reeves is the female to pay attention to, her training numbers aren't far from last 76kg olympic champion and the class this cycle is 71.
Olivia made Kate (a silver medalist) switch weight classes. If that tells everyone how good Olivia is.
She’s certainly determined enough to come back, but that’s a long road to go through another quad, getting older, etc.
basically how I took it. Just looked at Sean's twitter account and he seems to haven taken it very harshly
Fucking BULLSHIT!!! Fuck the Diamond League for killing T & F even more and fuck FloSports in general.
Nico with a 1:48.00 in his first outdoor 800-meter run, third on the NAU all-time list. Love that he mixes in these shorter distances toward the end of the season after crushing it in the 3K, 5K, 10K all year. Dude is special Alyson Churchill with a 15:17.20 5K, her PB. She apparently ran 16:06 in 2022. Mike Smith + 7K feet = Hilda Olemomoi from Bama is a beast, 15:06.42
I didn't even see that, just checking the heats for NAU runners But damn For the second time in a month, an NCAA runner has destroyed the collegiate 10,000-meter record in their debut at the distance. On March 16, Northern Arizona’s Nico Young ran 26:52.72 to take 15 seconds off Sam Chelanga‘s NCAA record and become the first collegiate man under the 27:00 barrier. On Thursday night, it was Parker Valby‘s turn as the Florida star ran 30:50.43 at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., to become the first collegiate woman under the 31:00 barrier. Valby took more than 27 seconds off the previous record of 31:18.07 set by Iowa State’s Lisa Uhl in 2010. Valby won the race by more than two minutes and lapped every other runner in the field at least once.
Colin Sahlman holy shit 3:33.96 1500 on a wet track, NCAA record is 3:33.74 why run for anyone other than Mike Smith if you have the opportunity??
Even if it was, it doesn't diminish it. Gotta know how to best throw in wind out of all directions and out of it.
it's an event where you go to throw pr's due to the high winds that always run a certain direction. 3m pr is massive. I will say he was gonna break it anyway given he threw 71m at 23 years old.
No offense Sooner posters but gymnastics wise I was told this was like 07 Pats losing in the Super Bowl. Go Gators
It's a minor quibble and it certainly has nothing to do with me but he should be doing everything he's done and going to do in a USA uni rather than a Swedish one but alas...that's just the greed talking from me lol
Why does shit like this often come out way after the event? 3 year return on results for a drug test? Ridiculous
Colin Sahlman ran the 800 in 1:45.63 tonight in Tucson NAU record was 1:45.79 by Lopez Lomong. Would have been second at outdoor nationals last year Nico 1:47.65
Peter Thiel is trying to do #1. The idea being by having the option you drastically reduce the cheating in 2.
dont think it would. everyone is still trying to get an edge. Also everyone wants to be thought of as clean
The idea is by having #1 you can create insanely strict testing rules in #2. Basically zero tolerance standardized testing across the board.
FYI right after the derby on Peacock you have the world relay championships today at 6pm central. Semis today and finals tomorrow.
Welp our men’s 4x4 got dq’d which likely cost them all $10k and makes them have to run again tomorrow to qualify for the Olympics. They’ll easily do it but a dumb mistake.
BD last night I gotta wake up early, don’t know why I’m playing Proceeds to play 3 more hours blind dog is a unicorn
