Was really hoping that would be the end of the Faith Militant. Getting bored of that whole storyline.
So how does benjen know exactly what bran knows and see's? Since he has white walker magic in him I assume so. Where does arya go from here?
Me too. Didn't think the faith would be able to put up much resistance against the mountain, but now that they have Tommen's ear, they would seem to have more options. Is there any chance they convince him to have Jamie represent the faith?
I agree with a lot of people saying this was a bridge episode but I think there was a lot of important info in it. This will be an episode that I watch again just to pick on things. Brans flashbacks from this episode might be pretty damn important. I loved seeing the mad king.
Spoiler That's wildfire. The mad king wanted to burn the city to the ground. He kept saying burn them all in the flashback.
Gotta laugh at Sam's brother when he chuckled when Gilly said Sam killed a white walker. And then later says there is no such thing. Shows how clueless people are the further south that you get
I am interested in how this part of the story plays out. With less than 20 episodes left is it feasible that the Whitewalkers existence is not going to be broadly know in the realm? I was hoping that they would make a grand entrance south of the Wall. If this is going to happen, something major needs to happen fairly soon. Also, anticipating we see a seasonal change soon.
Jon and Sansa take back winterfell. But right when they finish, Ramsay is dead, they look on the horizon to see the Whitewalkers marching towards them. /endseason I know nothing
I don't see the battle with the white walkers taking place before the battle for the realm. I feel like fighting the white walkers will take a kingdom-wide effort and I don't see how that's possible if they are all fighting each other.
Yeah I'm expecting it to end with the white walkers killing everyone Are there any specifics about how large of a population the white walkers have? Compared to humans
let's put it this way, Craster had 99 sons (in the show) gave em all to the white walkers + the Night's King & his 13 (sorry 11 thanks Jon & Meera) lieutenants so yeah there's a fuck ton of them.
The beautiful thing about the others/wights is that the more people they kill, the bigger their army gets. See last scene of Hardhome. I envision a strategy where the southern armies fight the army of the dead as they would anyone else followed up with the dragons lighting up The dead bodies
So, want to make sure there is alignment here. Wights are the zombie skeleton creatures that number several thousands based on the show images. The Whitewalkers have ice mullets and can only be killed with dragon glass. Do we all agree with above?
Anyone else think there is a good chance that Tommen dies by the end of this season? The witch in the woods told Cersei that all her children will die before she does and the show has killed off one of her children in each of the last two seasons. I personally don't envision Tommen leading the Lannister/southern armies in the battle for the realm. I can see Tommen's death coming as the result of Cersei's desperation to destroy the High Sparrow and the Faith Militant.
The trailer #2 before the season started has, what now is most certainly the mountain, about to rip a militants head off with his hands I can't wait for these final 4 episodes
god damnit I even got misty eyed at the behind the scenes look at Hodor's death also does anyone know what this is about?
Looks like a possible Ned/Lyanna deathbed in the Tower of Joy scene. Looks like a female hand in the background imo.
Based on absolutely nothing, but I can't get the idea out of my head that Tommen will step up (or be convinced by the Head Sparrow) to fight the Mountain and be killed in an absolutely horrible way.
I know that there's a theory out there that people are super hyped about but what if it's Loras? That way Tommen and Marg are pitted against Mom/Power. Loras gets head crushed and the Tyrell's and their army go ape shit on Kings Landing which leads to the death of Tommen.
Pretty sure it's theory from the books and a spoiler if you're just watching the show as I surely don't recall anything pointing in that direction.
Well, I would hope that it's a theory and people aren't in this thread spoiling a major development of the show.
What, the high sparrow found the hound dying wherever Arya left him and converted him to the faith? It'll probably be Sir Loras
Honestly, I'd be pretty mad if it was the hound that fought the mountain. That would just be so far out of left field and do absolutely nothing to affect/advance the plot.
Is it really out of left field? They would have to cover how the Hound survived, but ... Didn't the Hound talk about his brother extensively?
Yeah. That's who fucked up his face. It's also why he hates knights because of how evil his brother is and got knighted.
