The level headed play by Wanyama today was very encouraging. He was still breaking up play and clearing the ball from dangerous positions but avoided all reckless challenges that could have seen him sent off.
Pretty lofty praise from Pep regarding Poch. "I don't think [Mauricio Pochettino] is one of the best managers in England, he's one of the best football managers in the world. "He's aggressive without the ball and has a lot of quality with his players. Last season they were there until the last two or three games with the chance to be champions. So still this year they are playing in a high, high level. I am looking forward to going to White Hart Lane for the first time in my life as well."
Rose, Dier, and Dembele all participated in training yesterday so should be available for selection tomorrow vs. City. This isn't what I expect the starting 11 to be but what I would personally roll out. ---------------Hugo---------------- Walker-----Toby---Verts------Rose -----Wanyama------Dembele------ Lamela---------Alli-----------Eriksen -------------Sonny----------------- Son would be playing as more of a false 9, the attacking 4 would have license to swap positions throughout the game. We are way more dangerous when defenses don't know where our players are going to pop up on any given play. The goal vs. CSKA happened once we subbed out Janssen and started to expose gaps in their defense. I really was hard pressed to leave out N'Koudou but I would have him as first man off the bench if we need an injection of pace to change things up. Wanyama has been immense so I would keep him in to partner Dembele for this one, but could see it being Dier/Dembele if both are fully fit and Victor needs a rest.
Marcus Edwards is now training with the first team. That should help his development and appease him at the same time.
In depth interview with Alli reflecting on his first year with us, well done. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ear-from-club-and-country-debuts-to-euro-2016
Yeah, our matches vs. City are always pretty intense. Can go to one extreme or the other, usually a fair amount of goals and attacking intent on display though. It should be a good one for the neutrals.

We've gone for Son up top which I wanted. Rose is back, Dier makes the bench, no Dembele anywhere. Give him the break to get back to full health. It is a very attack minded lineup.
I just want us to be a bit more clinical with that final ball. We do that, we can beat anybody, because we certainly create a buttload of chances.
Wanyama for Dier at half? He certainly did okay last game on a yellow for ages, but I would rather play it safe.
That was just breathtaking stuff. We were first to every ball, harassing the fuck out of them in every single area of the pitch.
Damn what a half. This lineup is so awesome for our attack, so many players moving and switching. I wouldn't sub off Wanyama at half but definitely by 60 or 65. Don't want Dier to have to play an entire half coming off an injury. Wanyama has been a monster outside of that dumb yellow challenge.
Sissoko adds that brawn on the ball that we used to miss with Dembele not in the game. He is physically stronger than basically anyone trying to cover him and is able to run past the majority of them as well. He put in a proper shift, though that can be said for the entire team right now.
