it was also ridiculous that he sort of implied that rodgers would struggle with voters with those off-field concerns, as if he's not the heavy betting favorite
Committing a crime isn’t the same as lying about your vaccine. But I’m my mind go fuck yourself (Rodgers). The former is a reason someone wouldn’t get votes so who cares if other off the field impacts some votes. To your point: he's a favorite.
Dilfer: idiots are gonna take this the wrong way…blah blah…idiots will take this the wrong way. Gee Trent I’d hate for you to come on a podcast as an expert analyst and have to articulate yourself to remove ambiguity Trent: Hes got DQ. that’s dude qualities. What a doorknob.
this has been pretty much every dilfer interview with ryen for the past year. just say what you think, you played qb in the nfl, you won a super bowl as a qb... why do you care so much about what people say on twitter?
i wonder if they know that there are people out there like me who read their twitter feed most days and have for like a decade, but don't comment on anything.
not Ringer-related but adjacent i love the Robert Mays athletic football podcast but it's obnoxious when he has guests on to talk through things (like the All Pro selections this week) and he and the guest have unanimous consensus. These are people who read the same stats and summaries as him so they never have different points of view. why even have guests if that's what you're going to do?
I love his show and its pretty much been the only NFL podcast I have listen to at this point. One of my small pet peeves is sort of tied to this. I generally enjoy his mailbag episodes although I feel like he defaults to having his guest answer the questions too often. There are so many times theres a really good question and he just kicks it over to Mitchell Schwartz or whoever else his guest is that week and then never answers himself.
I like how Bill goes through his top rookies and has Mobley 1, Giddey as 2A, Wagner 2B, Barnes 2C and then Cade Cunningham “3rd”. Dude, you can’t name 4 players then say the next player is 3rd.
I was not a fan of Schwartz's appearances early on. I think Mays recognized they needed some layups to talk about, hence putting him on the mailbag show. While someone else would be better on that show, it does make Schwartz more listenable. Definitely agree that Mays and Nate are fantastic together.
from Russillo: Willie Colon seems pretty cool tbh if he was doing more podcast stuff instead of local nyc radio, i would subscribe instantly
Move the Sticks is a decent podcast too fwiw. Daniel Jeremiah isn't a great host but he and Bucky Brooks were both scouts so it's decent in that way
i can't sleep and i'm reading back through this thread for some reason it went under, but you could see how it could have gone over
Also, some of the worst football talk / analysis in the history of podcasts today with Bill and his brown nosing side kick
It feels like Bill is scared to bash Ime Udoka as much as he'd like because he was so adamant that Boston needed a black head coach to help solve the city's racism alongside Jaylen Brown
I see Bill still hasn’t come to terms with the fact that the Pats will have the worst qb in the playoffs. If Mac played for literally any other team he’d be saying “I can’t wait to bet against Mac Jones in the playoffs!”
Yes he’s played just fine and looks like he’ll be solid, at the very least. It shouldn’t be a surprise that teams would be lining up to go against him in the playoffs though.
Mac has had a nice season on a compete roster with good coaching. Also, maybe there’s a reason no franchises are drafting qbs with his physical profile. Like, none. But yeah maybe lightning strikes twice and he’ll have Brady’s brain within the first couple seasons.
Calling my shot, In order to deflect away from the pats, bill is gonna spend most of the pod saying “everyone looked bad, nobody is good. Chiefs, titans, Bucs, bills, rams, etc, who looked good heading into the playoffs? Is anyone good?”

bitch about it? Didn’t you hear, Belichick was holding back plays in the last Buffalo game to keep some aces up his sleeve!
he's also going to think that the chargers calling a timeout got them eliminated. though i guess this is just a layup because it's so obvious.
I was also correct. "I don't know if we have any good teams." Amazing that this season was just TOO LONG! It was one extra week / game guys.
because he finished the year losing money in Million Dollar Picks and his team isn't the perennial #1 seed anymore
I haven't listened in a while but i figure parent corner is now about finding piles of white powder in his son's bedroom
they needed to retire the segment after the story about sals kid at the soccer game with the person with missing limbs
My favorite was the one where Sal's kid was berating one of the people he plays video games with online only to find out that person was his friend's grandmother
I never usually listen to the Monday NFL pods with them but the last few years they created a year-end podcast that lumps all the parent corners together. Some in the past have been good. Other weeks it seems really forced.
