its in store at frys so unless you have one of those life sucks. they always seem to have awesome deals
think im gonna spend my tax return on a new tv then take whatever is left and put it toward a new couch.
getting almost 2k back so prob spend 800-1300 on a tv then another 2-3k on couch set up. shit gonna be comfy
i have a 40 inch lcd now which is nice but kinda want to go bigger and move it into my bedroom. have a onkyo 607 i think receiver and polk audio speakers 70 series standing and psw10 sub. its not a huge space so its perfect. run all my video through my wdtv (which is def getting upgraded) into the receiver and get beautiful sound
Sounds like a nice set-up. I have a fairly large space. I have the Panasonic 54' VT25 TV. Added the Ascend Acoustic CMT-340 for R/C/L and the Ascend CBM-170 SE for surrounds to go with a HSU Research VTF-15H sub for a 5.1. Powered by a Yamaha RX-V867. Spent a little more than I wanted but very satisfied
OK guys I've got like 200 bucks burning a hole in my pocket. I need a new tv for my room. Guide me comrads por favor what about this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889262092
Wat? Mitsubishi is an awesome company that is the best well now probably only maker of DLP. It's cheap because there's such a low demand these days. It's a damn fine product.
So you're saying spend under 300 dollars and get a 42 inch you crazy. I did that but I got the best deal of black friday. You can't do that anytime soon.
Anyone know about Hannspree TVs? Been looking to upgrade in my room from my old tube HD for a while. Ran across one of their 42" LCDs for about $450, and the online reviews are raving....never heard of em before.
Further more a 32 inch for the bedroom is big enough especially for someone looking at 22 inches. no point in a tv thread if you're giving advice that normal i have no clue what i'm talking about people would give.
Just looked it up. Most were 400+ and if they were around 212 they had many hours on them because they were floor models. Maybe 8-10 were legit new tvs at that price.
I mean, if I were you I'd just save it then and wait, unless you're using the thing strictly as a computer monitor. I feel like 22" is just too small but thats just my preference.
I'd wait a little bit tigers. I got this for like 170 plus tax months ago and it is the perfect tv for a small bedroom. http://www.target.com/VIZIO-Class-720p-60Hz-HDTV/dp/B003LL17HK/ref=br_1_10?ie=UTF8&id=VIZIO%20Class%20720p%2060Hz%20HDTV&node=618059011&searchSize=30&searchView=grid5&searchPage=1&sr=1-10&qid=1304702816&rh=target_com_category-bin%3ALCD%20TVs|target_com_category-bin%3ALED%20LCD%20TVs&searchBinNameList=target_com_category-bin%2Cprice&searchRank=pmrank&frombrowse=1
Update: Samsung 3D glasses (3100GB) are now $49.99. (It was announced about a month ago but retailers have finally dropped the price) http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+Battery-Operated+3D+Glasses/2244466.p?id=1218315553522&skuId=2244466
unless your bedroom is a closet pay a bit extra and get a 42 inch. You can get 42 inch plasmas for cheap these days.
Before I bought my first place...that was the only place. I was letting no roommates use my TV...It stayed in my room. THere is also somthing to be said when you walk into someones room and see a 50" tv and Egyptian cotton...

Any suggestions for a plasma at a better price for 42''.....likely destination would be the downstairs den as I would move the 32 inch to the bedroom.
For $600 you can get a 50" panasonic at frys....they always have deals. Id imagine 42 would be 450ish
My 55" vizio was fried by lightening last month Searching for a replacement. Looking for the best bang for my buck. Willing to spend more if it is worth it. What chu got
Ha, sheets is where you draw the line. On that subject I saw this '58 white on teal belair today for 8k....Oh lordy so tempted.

If that's not a good deal can someone help a brotha find a better one? I'm looking for 40+ inch, don't wanna spend a fortune but don't want crap.
I'd try and peep it in person, but the stats look good and for 500 thats not a bad deal... Never really seen a Westinghouse in person so I can't speak to the image quality, but for the cost/size/resolution/refresh rate thats a p good deal
skrouse probably said this a million times but i'll say it again, in a similar position 2 years ago i just went 720p to help save cash while getting a name brand @ 40+, it's really no big deal at all, i think if you get this you'll be satisfied http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=42+panasonic+plasma&cp=14&qe=NDIgcGFuYXNvbmljIHA&qesig=LV12uMxrkJP3TX_hyFM7Sw&pkc=AFgZ2tkZz6C3wZCVIFTyej1octqkOBXPIZdP45nGH22VWSHeBy6MCD6bUIQqTggiFOlF9WCDj8_GTp7oDwy1_y-XA9UO5kek1Q&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=3110449000270179490&sa=X&ei=ESjKTbSjLobMgQeY5YX8BQ&sqi=2&ved=0CHUQ8wIwAg#
hello posters i am in the market for a new television, hoping someone could throw some good advice my way. im looking for something 32-40 inches and preferably below 500 dollars. im not real knowledgeable about the technical aspects of TVs but pretty much all i watch is sports so i would like a TV that makes sports look excellent. anybody see any good deals recently? TIA
Deals have been pretty scarce lately and you are looking in the size range that is, by far, the hardest to find deals. Depending on lighting, you most likely want a plasma, and you should easily be able to find a plasma in that range for $500.
